Once upon a time, there was a whiny little brat named Dawn. Her voice was extremely squeaky and irritating. It was so horrible that people actually stopped visiting her house and she was kicked out of school, solely because nobody wanted to listen to her. She complained and carried on SO much, that one day her family decided that they weren't going to love her anymore because she was getting to be impossible to live with. After a few months, Dawn finally realized why she was forced to sleep in the basement. She cried and cried for hours; luckily not a single person could hear her. Then a brilliant plan hit her, "Maybe if I shut up once in a while, they'd talk to me again." She brainstormed. "Yes! And once they see how quiet I can be, they'll let me live upstairs." Next, she set her plan in motion. She walked up the stairs, picked the lock on the door that prevented her from entering the rest of the house and joined her mother and sister in the kitchen. When she came through the door, panic and horror struck the faces of Buffy and Joyce Summers, as they covered their ears. Tension was high. Nobody wanted to make any sudden moves, in fear of what Dawn's vocal reaction might be. "Why are Buffy and me still here?" Joyce screamed at herself on the inside. "Shouldn't we be running for the door? Or something?" Little did she know that that was unnecessary. Soon it was clear that Dawn had nothing to say. Feelings of confusion and utter shock lingered in the air. "Dawn, honey, are you feeling okay?" The mother figure asked. "WAIT! Don't answer that!" Buffy quickly blurted out, right before she ran for a piece of paper and a pen. "Write it here," She shoved the paper in her sister's face. "You know, so you don't strain your voice." She looked over to her mother for support. "Right. PLEASE?" Joyce pleaded. Dawn nodded her head, took the paper and started scribbling away. Buffy and her mother sighed in relief. From that day on, Dawn carried a notepad and a pen with her everywhere she went and never spoke again. This made her family SO happy that they let Dawn have her old room back. They became the happiest, unsqueakiest family in all of Sunnydale and lived happily ever after. The end.
