Hello! This is my first time writing in this site. I don't have much courage in my writing skills as I'm a complete amateur. ^^; Onegaishimasu~!

This chapter is only an introduction of the story, which is why it's short. :)

Disclaimer: I don't own Gakuen Alice. :D

Ruka's P.O.V.

I can't sleep . . .

For some unknown reason, I can't sleep. It's past midnight now and I'm still awake.

It's getting irritating.

I stir under the blanket, wishing I could drift to sleep. I need it, after all; but it's not coming. Groaning, I push my blanket away, sitting up and sleepily rubbing my eyes. I give out a soft yawn, blinking a couple of times before getting out of bed. I look outside the window, it's dark but I can't expect anything else since it is nighttime . . . I retreat my gaze and make my way out of my bedroom. The corridors are as dim as the night sky.

. . . Or so I thought.

There's a faint light coming from the end of the corridor. I follow it curiously, walking faster and faster as the time goes by. What can it be? I ask myself, still pacing. I know it's a bad idea to be here; I can feel it. Shivers are running down my spine, but I ignore them.

I'm only a few steps to where the light is and realise it's outside; the windows of the balcony are open. The moonlight? I think, raising an eyebrow in wonder. No, the moonlight can't be that bright . . . or can it?

I soon come to a halt when I have reached my destination. I shield my face with one arm as the light is too bright, my eyes narrowing slightly and my lips curving down to a frown. As my eyes adjust to the brightness, I slowly retreat my arm and give out a sigh. I look at the source of all this and my eyes widen as the clock ticks every second.

I blink once. Twice. Thrice.

Recognition suddenly come crushing down onto me like the waves in the sea as they hit the rocky shore. I gasp, then clench my fists and teeth in rage; forehead creasing and my breathing turn heavy.

There is only one explanation for this.

In front of me is a huge holographic image of me together with Piyo. My expression in there sickens me so—I was caught off guard and never expected this to happen while I soothe the gigantic mutated chick—, not to mention my pose. I looked like a bird soaring in the azure skies with my arms wide open and my legs parted slightly. My face was absolutely priceless, if I say so myself, as I appeared like a . . . a . . . girl! I was smiling blissfully with my eyes looking dreamily at the chick; Piyo was the same but its feet was on the ground.

I search for that person's presence. She is around here somewhere; I'm sure of it.

I lean over the balcony, eyes roaming on the ground until I spot her standing near a bush.

Her head's tilted upward, amethyst orbs on my face. Her face blank, and her posture still. I twitch in annoyance as I have located the hologram projector lying down on the grassy ground. I growl as quietly as I can before I totally lose composure when she takes out a thick folder with the words 'Nogi Ruka's Pictures' inscribed on it.

And all that triggers my ease are the pictures she holds out . . .

"I—IMAI!!!"

I hope you like it. Please review! :D Suggestions are welcome.
