The Romeo and Juliet Effect

His face was curved perfectly, and her hand fit the curve like two puzzle pieces. They were a puzzle. His skin felt warm beneath her hand, as she caressed her love's face. He simply smiled, for he knew the truth. They were meant for each other. Forever and always. He leaned forward and kissed her, and thus begun their morning ritual of rolling over and over in the silky white bed, tickling each other, falling in love all over again.

There was no way that they could forget their past. It was filled with uncertainty and fear. She laughed every once in a while, when she remembered how they had met. He was "the enemy" and completely full of himself, and she was the innocent one. She would pass him in the halls of their school, and not dare to look at his face. But one day, it all changed. It must have been fate. How could Draco Malfoy and Ginny Weasley fall in love? Slytherin and Gryffindor? But they did. Ginny still says to this day that it was the Romeo and Juliet effect. Draco just kisses her lightly on the hand when she says that. He loves her hands, and how they feel on the curve of his face, his heart.

Nobody accepted the truth, but they remained tolerant. Ginny's brother, Ron, was the worst. He threatened Draco within an inch of his life. And Ginny about broke down from the stress of it all. Finally, everybody came to an understanding that this was fate. And fate was something that united people. Draco's family were the only ones who disagreed with the two young lover's affair. He was immediately disowned. That is why they married. To show the world how much love meant.

Ginny gave birth to a son and a daughter, Gabriel and Emily. They were the sweetest babies in the world and meant everything to their parents. They brought darkness and light together. Those babies were the representation of all that could be united. With their mother's red hair and their father's silver eyes, they stunned those that passed them. Even Draco's father dared not harm them. He couldn't find the courage.

Now, Draco and Ginny live in a quaint little cottage in the countryside, in their own happily ever after fairy tale. Ginny's family visits every once in a while, but they have become distant. Difference takes time to overcome. But Draco and Ginny accept that. They know that they have the rest of their lives. The rest of their lives to caress each others faces and hearts. The rest of their lives to love each other. The rest of their lives to be together. But there is no such thing as forever.

It must be the Romeo and Juliet effect.
