Well, this is a story kind of based off World of Warcraft. And yes, Matt's a member of the HORDE. Why? Because I am. Er…Was. Anyway, this brought on HUGE nostalgia… D: Seriously, I miss playing it. XD …I did kind of fact-check, but mostly, this is stuff I already knew, and, well…Why WOULDN'T Matt play WOW? XD …It's been a few years, excuse any errors, I guess, even though there really shouldn't be any.
"Time to kill some Ally sons'a'bitches," Matt mumbled, cigarette in mouth, as he typed in his password to his WOW account. The great thing about WOW was that, with the multiplayer and all it never got old. Well, that, and his scantily-dressed, female, Blood Elf character was a major perk. A Paladin, of course; Blood Elves made badass Pallys.
The new expansion had recently come out, but he hadn't had much time to play, with all the work he had to do for Mello, which was the major reason he hadn't reached the maximum level yet.
Of course, Mello resented WOW ever since he'd discovered the resemblance between Matt's slender, feminine character and himself, who, as he told Matt on a regular basis, was anything but feminine. It wasn't something Matt had planned, of course; he just had a thing for blondes in general, not Mello in particular.
But after the reaction he'd gotten, he'd be damned if he played any other character, even his undead priest; it got boring at times, combat-wise, but at least it was always easy to find a group.
Besides, at least he got a thrill off being a Horde, on all his accounts, and characters. He'd tried being a "noble member of the Alliance" (well, only because the Night Elf girls were hot) and the whole, "Save the world from the forces of evil" thing got old, fast.
The screen loaded, and he began to play, attacking the creatures and the few Alliance that tried to start a raid. Idiots. They were so low-level, it was a joke.
Just when he'd managed to level up—which took at least an hour; having a high level sucked sometimes—Mello walked in.
Matt heard the footsteps immediately, and turned around, taking out his second cigarette of the day, with a guilty look on his face.
"Wassup, Mels?" He'd always had a casual way of speaking, especially to Mello—even if he knew he was likely to get in trouble for it.
"You know I told you not to play that. Especially when we have work to do, or as that—that girl." He spoke the word with resentment, as if it sickened him.
"C'mon, can't you see I've been grinding? Christ, do you know how long it takes for me to do it?" Matt sighed, most of the sentence coming out as a mumble. He was more frustrated than scared of any of Mello's empty threats. Regardless of what he'd done to others as a mafia boss, Mello would never hurt Matt. At least, not so badly that he wouldn't recover.
"Just got a new mount, by the way. Wanna check it out? 's all…Bony." Matt leaned over a bit, revealing the screen, with his character on the undead skeletal warhorse, something that had taken him quite a while to get. It had always been his personal favorite, though; the way they glowed was fantastic, so it was far from a waste of time.
Mello however, didn't look at the screen, but away from it, at the ground, face flushing slightly.
"Matt, your sex drive is appalling, even for an eighteen year old male."
Ha, Mello doesn't understand gamer terms… He's really missing out. I only planned the thing about Matt grinding, at first, but I couldn't resist adding the part about Matt's mount. And the bony thing…Well…Even though I said he's straight in this one, I just can't resist adding things like that. XD
I KNOW this has to make sense to SOMEONE. XD
Reviews? I'll love you. But not in a creepy way, I promise. XD
