Narnia had been peaceful since the White Witch's defeat. It had been a month or two after the four children's coronation, leaving them the newly made rulers of a land discovered in the back of a wardrobe.
Three children lay in the courtyards of Cair paravel; two girls sitting in the green grass, talking to a group of three-inch-tall fairies; and a boy, striking the air with an unsheathed sword.
The eldest of the children, Peter, stood peacefully pacing down the hallways of the enormous castle; exploring the boundaries of their new found home. Though the day was beautiful, he chose to accompany himself within the castle.
"…And take that!" Edmund shouted, as he fought nothing.
"Edmund, for goodness sake, you've been fighting an invisible component for hours now." Susan, the second eldest, spoke with a small smile.
After Edmund seemed to apparently 'not hear them' Lucy, the youngest royalty, began to speak, "Let's just be happy he's not trying to chase us with the sword." She giggled.
It was an amazingly bright and cheery day in Narnia; the grass was showing vibrantly green as the sun gleamed down onto its pigments, the sky was a clear and silky blue, and all the Narnian creatures and flowers seemed to be filled with glee.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, Susan felt a drip of water upon her shoulder. "Hmm… That's funny." She said curiously.
"What's wrong, Susan?" Lucy looked at her sibling, still smiling. Until drops of water hit her face, her smiled slowly faded. "It's… Raining."
The sudden rain had even slowed Edmund down, "No, really?" He spoke sarcastically, turning into his old self.
Lucy frowned, "…But it was so pretty before, and now… Now I feel like someone drained the happiness from me."
Susan sighed, "Let's get inside. Come on…" She stood from the damp grass and helped Lucy up, before heading back to the castle.
Author's Note: Err... I've not read the books in a few years, so I dunno how good I am at interperating those characters. Please don't kill me! -hides- I just thought it'd be fun to do a Narnia fanfic 'cause, come on, those books are FANTASTIC! The movie was well made, aswell.
...I'll shut up now. If you feel like reviewing(Though this story has just unfolded), go ahead, and if you don't feel like reviewing... Then don't. O.o
