Rooney or Deathcab?
A Summer/Seth oneshot.
It was the perfect end to a perfect date. Summer had -finally- convinced Seth to see the romantic comedy 'Just Like Heaven' with her, rather then a shark movie at the Imax theatre, and considering it was a chick flick, Cohen had cried. (Summer couldn't figure out why he always cried!).
The couple walked to the range rover, and Seth bowed, opening the front passenger door cheesily for 'Princess' Summer as she got in. Seth climbed into the driver's seat, and turned the car on, instantly reaching for his Deathcab for Cutie CD to put in the stereo. Summer frowned as he did, stopping him.
"What're you doing Cohen?" she asked, still frowning. Seth looked up at her, picking up the CD case. "Well, Princess Summer, I'm putting on my Deathcab CD" he answered in his normal Cohen way. Summer took the CD from him, and reached to put in the Rooney CD.
Seth stopped her, quizzically looking at her. Summer gave him an innocent, but don't mess with me, look and said "I'm the princess, I choose what music we listen to." Seth tried to put in Deathcab.
" You were princess in the movies, but I am King in the car!" He smirked, replying. Summer punched his arm "Cohen!" she yelled. Seth winced, but continued putting in Deathcab. Summer, at the same time, put in Rooney.
Snap.
Summer and Seth's eyes widened as both discs snapped in two. They both recoiled, and Seth looked at Summer, who punched Seth's arm again "Cohen!" she yelled "You broke them!"
Seth scowled, trying to ignore the numbness growing in his arm "-I- broke them! You shoved Rooney in!" he yelled back. Summer leaned back against the seat in a huff. "Just take me home Cohen." She muttered angrily. Seth started the car, and they drove in silence, muttering a goodbye when they stopped at Summer's.
The next morning, Seth walked downstairs to the front door, holding a bag from the music store in his hand. He opened the door, and there stood Summer, an identical bag in her hand, about to ring the doorbell. Seth gave her a small wave, and muttered a hello.
"I'm sorry" they both blurted out. Seth smiled a little, and repeated "I'm sorry Summer…Here." He handed her the bag, inside the latest Rooney album. Summer smiled back "I'm sorry too.." she replied, handing him the bag, inside a replacement Deathcab album.
Seth grinned, looking down at her "You want to come in? Mom and dad are at work, and Ryan's out with Marissa..And I can tell Captain Oats to cover his eyes.." he smirked seductively. Summer kissed him lightly "Well…If Captain Oats promises not to look.." she replied as she shut the door behind her, unbuttoning her shirt a little.
Seth smirked. "Whatever you say Summer, yes, yes."
END!
