This will not show much of the main cast of the series but be sure that they will appear. Also, this is a revamp of my old story, with new cast, decks and changes. ENJOY!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V, or any of it's original characters/cards involved with it. I do own my OCs and the original cards that appear in this story.

Chapter 1: Entrance Exams!

Zarc. The power hungry duelist that wanted reign of the whole world to showcase his dueling skills. It has been several years after his attempted resurrection and things went back to normal, except for the fact that the once known Standard Dimension was now the Pendulum Dimension where everyone could Pendulum Summon, along with performing other Summoning techniques. Yuya Sakaki was now a World-Class Entertainment Duelist, and Reira Akaba grew up quite normally, even though she was the Vassal used to contain Zarc. Leo Akaba on the other hand, helped in the rebuilding of the Xyz Dimension as compensation for his actions. He also decided to open a new academy in the Fusion Dimension to teach young duelists from all Dimensions the various summoning methods, as well as training them to become pro duelists. This is the story of his academy, and the students that go there. Here contains the story and adventure of a certain student who would go on and surpass the legend before him, Yuya Sakaki.

Chaos.

Most likely the only word that could describe the situation before him. Flames burning everything in sight, people seeking shelter and safety, as well as crumbling buildings. The city he was in appeared to be ancient Egypt. He learned about it in an Encyclopaedia and he knew this from the pyramids. The sky was grey with smoke rising to the atmosphere, filled with the cries of everyone endangered. This could only be described as a nightmare.

Just then, a loud, inhuman cry was heard. He turned his head to see something approaching from the distance, only to widen his eyes in terror.

A giant deity covered in a huge dark aura towered the city and gave off another cry. It seemed female, covered in white armor, with a skull for head. It seemed as though it was on a rampage, just for the fun of it. Then it shrieked once again. After that, it unleashed a huge blast of dark energy that instantly obliterated one half of the city, as well as those unfortunate enough to be in its range of fire. The youth froze in fear at the sight that beheld him, unable to intervein, only to watch from a distance as everything and everyone was being destroyed with no second thought whatsoever.

However, despite that fact, the youth was curious enough to get a closer view of the enormous deity. Then his once froze structure begun to move slowly towards the demonic adversary that was within his sights. He took note of an abandoned stone tower and taking advantage, he climbed up until he reached its peak where he viewed the city at a wider point of view. He walked towards the edge of the tower as a big scrap of metal detached itself from the tower, landing with a loud crash and giving off the boy's location. The boy wasn't worried as he thought the deity wouldn't hear the crash with all the commotion and chaos ongoing. However, he couldn't have been more wrong. The deity turned its head towards him and begun to rush at an inhuman pace. Once again, the boy found himself unable to move, frozen in place. Just as he wondered whether his life would end there and there, just being a light snack for the demon, it stopped and turned its head towards what looked like a group of vigilantes. These vigilantes were of different shapes and sizes. They were about seven creatures in number.

The first looked like a giant warrior, clad in sliver armour with the edge of its armour spiking out at the shoulders, elbows and feet, as well as a white scar0f covering the lower part of it's face. Its most prominent feature was the huge sword it carried resembled a broadsword, except with diamond holes in its blade with a golden edge and a black handle.

The second was a red dragon with a horn protruding its forehead. The dragon had spikes on several parts of its body and gave a loud roar. The dragon stood on it's two feet and had two red wings on its back which both appeared to be torn to an extent. It bore a simple sword with a sharpened bone for a blade and red skin acting as a handle for the sword.

The others were a blue zombie, a female knight with gem-embedded armour, a pink dolphin with a silver tierra and a silver necklace, a ball of flame shaped as a dragon, and a fairy goddess clad in gold and black armour.

At the moment, the seven figures glowed bright with white light and energy swirled from around them and encircled the demon, forming multi-colored chains around it with a silver lock. The chains emitted a stream of multi-colored light that encased the whole city, briefly blinding the youth, with the demon screaming in pain and agony.

[Curse you fools! I won't fail now! It's impossible!]

The boy was surprised that the loud voice came from the demon. Upon discovery, he realized that the demon split into 7 pillars on different colours. They were red, blue, green, brown, yellow, black and white. The pillars brightened and the demon spoke once more.

[Impossible! I shall return! Then your fates shall be sealeeeeeddddd!]

And then, the pillars combined and the demon cried out as it exploded with a mighty thunderous sound that engulfed the whole city, the last thing he saw however was the face of a beautiful young woman in an azure flame.

"Ahhhhh!"

A young boy seated in the last row of a bus cried out as he awoke from his slumber, causing the other young passengers to stare at him curiously, before they turned back to mind their businesses and lost interest in the boy's case.

"You had that scary dream again, didn't you…?"

Turning to his right, a boy peered at him and stared at his face, as though he saw the answer to his question on his face. Looking back at him was a fourteen-year-old boy, with spiky hair clored copper-blond, combed back with gel. He had violet eyes and had eyebrows matching the colour of his hair. He wore a red and white hoodie, a lime undershirt, red pants and white sneakers with red on the side.

The other boy was a fourteen-year-old as well, with dark teal hair accompanied with a white streak. He also had grey eyes and matching eyebrows. He wore a dark blue collared jean jacket, a white shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

The copper-blond boy sighed after he had stared at his friend for a while. It had been a month since he had begun having a stream of dreams and visions in his sleep, all being identical to the most recent one. They kept coming back and the thing the annoyed the boy most was the fact that they seemed never ending. He wished he knew the source but he couldn't think of anything that could breed a dream as ridiculous as that. He slipped out of his thoughts as the other boy gave a loud cough, indicating that he hadn't answered his question.

"I'm fine Kazuma. Don't sweat it." He said as he gave a nervous smile. The dark tealed haired boy now known as Kazuma didn't seem convinced at first, but smiled nonetheless as his friend seemed to be okay.

"Good. Can't have you being nervous on exam day now, can we, Yusuke?"

"Ha! Nope! Not at all!" Yusuke said, sweating profusely. Kazuma acted like a complete egghead at times but he was very observant and observative. It was difficult to deceive him with something as simple as that and he was surprised that he fell for it.

[Attention all examinees. We will be arriving at the Maiami City Stadium shortly. I repeat, we will arrive at the Maiami City Stadium shortly. Please gather your belongings and prepare to leave the bus. And on a lighter note, good luck with your exams!]

The announcement from the bus's driver caused Kazuma to snort.

"Good luck? I don't need luck cause I'm gonna ace that exam no prob!" Kazuma's reaction caused a bit of an uproar from the other passengers who apparently thought he was being arrogant.

"Ace the exams? He's going to be luck enough to even pass!"

"The acceptance rate is about 10%! There's no way they'll accept someone like him!"

"At least there's one less student in my path of being accepted!"

Comments of this sort and more lasted for the few minutes that they remained on the bus and Kazuma argued all through it.

'Kazuma can be such a pain. But these guys better watch out because he's no pushover! And neither am I!'

The bus then came to a halt and the passengers begun to offload from the door with Yusuke and Kazuma following suit. In front of them was a huge stadium. The stadium resembled a huge dome with exquisite glass covering it. The top was protected by glass of the same sort. And seated waiting for them were some officials, both male and female wearing suits, who were to verify their identification. This was to prevent fakers and false duelists to infiltrate the school.

When his turn came, Yusuke presented them with his Identification Card and a letter stating his acceptance to take the exams.

"Alright. Let's see…. Yusuke Hirata, age 15, resident of Maiami City and graduate of Maiami Middle School… Okay, your clear." A man said handing him back his items and directed him into the Stadium. He was immediately shocked at how large it was. Yusuke didn't remember the place being that gigantic, but come to think of it, he had never seen it up close in real life, only on the television during tournaments and matches. He looked ahead to see that the Stadium was divided and now had dozens of small arenas where the examinees could take their duel exams while hundreds of other applicants flooded the arena, seated and preparing to take the exam.

"Alright settle down, settle down!" A young woman yelled, strolling into the Stadium carrying a bulk of sheets with her. "The Written portion of the Exam will now begin! Put away your Dueling Decks and prepare yourselves! I am very sure this exam will task you all both mentally and physically! Let the exams begin!" Yusuke scrambled to find a seat as the exams had begun to be shared to the applicants. And with that, several suited individuals walked towards several rows and distributed the exam sheets and just like that, the exam begun. As one of the sheets landed in front of him, Yusuke blinked. One-Hundred questions and this was only the first sheet. The page was only Multiple Choice and he frowned when he received two more, both having him to explain…. It seemed his work was cut out for him.

As a woman finally announced that they could begin, Yusuke grabbed his pencil and flipped the pages. He knew most of the material in the exam from his Middle School. He sharpened his pencil and begun to write.

'When you're in a duel, where on the "Game Mat" or your "Duel Disk" do you place your Extra Deck Monsters...?' Yusuke thought as he read the first question. "The Monsters Zones."

He smiled and he ticked the answer. It was basically beginner's knowledge and he nodded, knowing he was correct. Smiling lightly, he moved to the next question on the exam.

"What are the different kinds of Monster Cards? Easy as well. Normal, Effect, Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Pendulum Monster Cards." Yusuke thought, ticking and writing through the exam.

Yusuke had a feeling that his answers were correct, and before he knew it, his pencil was racing through the exam sheet.

"… and now the Written portion of the Examination has come to an end! Pencils up!" The woman proclaimed dramatically, watching from the front as everyone handed over their exam sheets. "Now the Practical portion shall begin shortly, so I suggest you ready your deck for some combat, especially those who feel as though their Written Exams won't help them!" And with that, she giggled like a child and skipped away, leaving the room.

"What a rush..." Yusuke sighed. "The questions were pretty easy but now I feel so tired, as though I were in a marathon! I hope the Practical portion won't be this tasking."

About an hour passed and it was time. Time for Yusuke to shine.

"Yusuke Hirata, please report to Duel Field D3."

As the loud voice boomed in the speakers, Yusuke walked down the stairs and got to the duel field, activating his black duel disk which emitted a red energy blade. The proctor, a man clad in a purple coat with black glasses and a goatee, walked into the field, chuckling. "So young man, let's see if you have what it takes to get into the Leo Duel School!"

Yusuke smiled and slapped his deck into his disk. There was no way he was going to lose. Not after he and Kazuma had trained for so long! They were both going to make it into the Leo Duel School, no matter what!

The two glared at each other, both shuffling their decks once more before they both gave out a loud cry.

"Prepare yourself!" The proctor warned as the ground below them rose and the Action Field activated.

"DUEL!"

Yusuke vs. Proctor LP: 4000

TURN ONE- PROCTOR

"The first turn is mine!" The proctor declared firmly as he drew his opening hand. "I'll start by activating the Spell Card, Summoner's Art! Now I can add 1 Level 5 or higher Normal Monster from my Deck to my hand! I choose Big Koala...!" The declared card slid out of his deck and he grabbed it into his hand. "… now I set a monster face-down in Defense Position and I'll set two more cards face-down, and end my Turn!"

"I thought you talked such a big game." Yusuke smirked. "Now then, I'll show you what a real turn looks like! My turn, Draw!" He drew a card.

TURN TWO- YUSUKE

"Alright! I know just what to do!" He took a card from his hand and slapped it on his disk. "I summon Blackbolt Pegasus from my hand!" A white Pegasus with black wings, and black horn wearing a black tattoo on its side resembling a thunderbolt appeared.

Blackbolt Pegasus, Level 4, WIND, Beast, ATK: 1800, DEF: 900

"What sort of monster is that? I've never seen it before!" The proctor gasped as the whole audience did the same in shock. "That doesn't matter though, because I will defeat you!"

"Lemme finish my turn real quick. When I summon Blackbolt Pegasus, it's effect activates! Now I can Special Summon a 'Blackbolt' monster! And I choose Blackbolt Beetle!"

The monster appeared in front of him. It was a brown-skinned beetle with a steel antennae instead of a regular one. It had six black legs and a long steel jaw. It also had black wings and a black tattoo of a thunderbolt on its back.

Blackbolt Beetle, Level 3, EARTH, Insect, ATK: 1200, DEF: 800,

"Battle! Blackbolt Pegasus! Attack his face-down monster!" It gave a loud neigh before flying forward and aiming its horn towards the set monster.

"Ha! I activate-!"

"Sorry to interrupt…!" Yusuke smirked. "But my Beetle's effect activates! When a 'Blackbolt; monster I control attacks, you can't activate any Spell/Traps until the end of the Damage Step!" Pegasus continued with its attack and the face-down card flipped face up with 1800 DEF.

"My Des Koala's flip effect activates! Now you take 400 points of Damage for each card in your hand! That's 4! So, you take 1600 Damage!" The proctor laughed as a spirit of his koala's hand flew forward and pierced Yusuke, damaging him.

Yusuke's LP: 2400

"Tsk… I fell for your trap. No matter. I set two cards face-down and end my turn."

The proctor laughed. He was expecting Yusuke to be some kind of hotshot for possessing rare cards but it seemed he was proven wrong. "My turn, Draw!"

TURN THREE- PROCTOR

Glancing at his draw suspiciously, the Proctor smirked. Yusuke caught the expression on the man's face, the eerie smile doing more than sending chills down his spine. Something was coming. He could feel it.

"Well applicant, I suppose I must congratulate you for making it this far." The Proctor said with a smirk. "However, from here on out, I'm afraid I must inform you that the Duel will forever be in my favor."

"That's quite the confidence you've got there," Yusuke couldn't help but retort. "But i don't suppose you have the cards to back it up?"

"Oh yes I do!" The Proctor said, his smirk growing ever more confident as he spoke. "I activate the Spell Card, Polymerization! Now by sending select Fusion Material monsters to the graveyard, I can Fusion Summon! Now I fuse Big Koala in my hand with The Earth - Hex-Sealed Fusion!" As his two monsters swirled inside a multi-coloured vortex, The Proctor chanted. "Blue koala that rules his tribe! Slime that can adapt and combine with anything! Fuse together and form an unstoppable force! Fusion Summon! Appear before me, Level 9! Master of Oz!"

A huge green koala wearing red boxing gloves appeared on the field with 4200 ATK. It wore a purple vest with red shoes and had a titleship belt flung over its right shoulder and it had a scar on its left eye. The audience yelled in awe as the powerful monster was summoned.

"Master of… Oz…?" Yusuke breathed, repeating the name the Proctor had spoken to his ears.

The huge beast roared once more, confirming the name that Yusuke spoke as its own.

The proctor laughed as he watched his ace monster take to the Field.

"Well?" he asked, grinning at his opponent victoriously. "How is it? The ace I've been dying to show you…?"

"It's enormous" Yusuke said, "Just as large as your ego is, I suspect."

"Ngh!" The Proctor grimaced, not at all amused by Yusuke's words. "Yes, well you're about to see just how big my ego can get, because my monster is about to attack your Blackbolt Beetle! Go!" The Proctor ordered, sweeping his hand out toward Yusuke. "Ayers Rocky!"

Master of Oz flung its right arm around, before launching its arm slamming into Blackbolt Beetle, however Yusuke smirked and activated a card.

"No way! I activate the Trap Card, Draining Shield!" Yusuke declared. "Now your monster's ATK is negated and I gain LP equal to its ATK!"

"You fool! I activate my Trap Card, Dark Bribe! You get to draw a card but now the effect of your Trap is negated! Now lose, you insignificant bug!" The proctor shouted.

"No! Not yet! I activate my other Trap Card, Damage Diet! Now the damage I take is cut in half!" Yusuke yelled as the attack destroyed his monster and sent him flying back.

Yusuke's LP: 300

"Tsk! Lucky brat!" The Proctor scoffed. He wasn't expecting Yusuke to counter his attack. But his Life Points were a mere 300 and his chance of a comeback was a rather slim one. "I end my turn. But know this, I will triumph."

'He's right… if I don't draw the right card here, I'm going to lose. Well, it all depends on this draw! Right here, right now!'

"My turn, Draw!"

TURN FOUR- YUSUKE

Yusuke examined the drawn card and smiled. 'I should've known you'd come. 'Let's win this!'

"Alright! Time to kick into overdrive! First, I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed. Now I draw two cards." He drew two cards. "Next I discard a card to activate the effect of a monster in my hand…!" He slid a card into his graveyard. "… Now I Special Summon The Tricky!" A clown clad in armour with a mask of a question mark on it appeared on the field with a laugh.

Then Yusuke smirked. It was time for him to show this Proctor what he was really made of.

"I release The Tricky and Blackbolt Pegasus to Advance Summon! Come forth, the very persona of my heart! Strike them down! Yavix the Warrior!" Yusuke's two monster burst into sparkles of light and combined into one single pillar of light and when it vanished, a warrior stood in their place. The warrior had the edges of its armour spiking out at the shoulders, elbows and feet, as the cross on its face stretched out much farther, as well as it having a long white scarf with a diamond pattern across it. The sword it carried was more like a traditional broadsword, except with diamond shaped holes in the blade and a golden edge.

Yavix the Warrior, Level 7, Warrior, DARK, ATK: 2700 DEF: 1800

"When Yavix is Normal or Special Summoned, his effect activates!" Yusuke held his hand out. "With it, I target a card you control, then it cannot be activated, and its effects are negated! I choose your face-down!" The knight shot a golden ray from its sword that froze the face down.

"No!" The Proctor gasped. "But your monster is weaker than my Master of Oz!"

"Now I activate the Spell Card, Card of Demise! Now I draw until I have 5 cards, but I won't explain the rest since you won't last that long!" Yusuke explained, in a way. "Now I discard King of the Swamp to Special Summon Power Giant!"

A giant golem with multi-coloured gem embedded in it's body rose and roared as it was Summoned

"But it's Level is now reduced by 4!"

(Power Giant LV 6 - 4 : 2)

"Where are you going with this? Your cards are just too weak to beat my Master of Oz! You're a failure! Just give up!" The Proctor yelled. But this triggered Yusuke. He swore to never give up and he wasn't going to start now.

"Never!" Yusuke roared. "I play the Quick-Play Spell, Mini Guts! Now by tributing Power Giant, your Master of Oz's ATK becomes 0 and when it's destroyed, you take Damage equal to its ATK! Now lose! Yavix Attack! Sealing Flash!" The monster's sword glowed gold as it delivered a flurry of rapid slashes, completely destroying the monster.

"Now Mini-Guts activates! Take 4200 points of Damage!" Power Giant appeared with a red aura and struck the Proctor, causing him to slump over.

Proctor's LP: 0

WINNER: YUSUKE!

The Duel was over… Yusuke had won.

As the holograms slowly faded away, The Proctor collapsed to his knees in shock. He looked up to see Yusuke above him and a small smile formed on his face. "You fought well kid. Welcome to the Leo Duel School. You earned your spot."

"ALRIGHT!" A voice cried from the stands and in a nanosecond, Yusuke was on the floor, with Kazuma hugging him rather tight. "You did it! Let's celebrate! Leo Duel School, here we come!"

Both boys smiled and cheered happily.

Finally, their dreams would be achieved. Their dreams of becoming Professional Duelists. And the Leo Duel School was only the first step.
