Hourglass

The clock struck 12 midnight.

"Tai-cho~~~" A certain strawberry blond brusted into the room, startling the poor taichou who was diligently doing his subordinate's paperwork.

"Today's taichou's birthday so I'm giving taichou an hourglass so every time when taichou turn the hourglass taichou would be able to look back at the times we had fun together and remember it." The ever hyperactive fukutaichou explained cheerfully.

"It's more like you having fun and me suffering…" The taichou murmured while his eyes continued scanning through the report in his hands.

"Eh! Taichou~" The fukutaichou pouted.

"For example doing paperwork." He straightened the paper in his hand, bring across his point further.

"Taichou~~~ Don't be like that…"

"It's a fact." Hitsugaya stated and started scribing his report.

"Taichou, you baka!" The speaker than proceed on walking out the office.

"Good-BYE." And she slammed the door shut.

After a few minutes of absolute silence, the 10th Squad taichou finally looked up and glance at the hourglass on his table for the first time.

Matsumoto…

He gave a sigh with a small warm smile hung on his face. Taking the hourglass in his hands, he walked to the window of his administrative office. Leaned his back at the window frame, he glanced out of the window.

The bright round moon hung on the sky, shining its soft white light into the room.

If only...

Hitsugaya turned the hourglass and held it up, holding it right in front of the small moon outside, watching as the fine white sand within the hourglass pour into the glass chamber below.

time with you would just…

The falling sand froze into ice in mid-fall.

Stop.
