Another one of my poems...a P.O.V. of Eowyn when she is forced to go the refuge of the Glittering Caves during the battle of Helm's Deep.

I sit in this cave, cold and bitter.

Bitter because of what I was denied.

What was I denied you ask?

I was denied the chance to stand.

But how can a lone woman,

Stand in a world of men?

How can I prove that I am no weakling?

Proud men are, yet unfair it seems,

That a man can fight,

Yet the woman are forced to wait?

What differ do I to those men of arms?

For what differ purpose do I stand?

Why can I not fight for those I love?

Why can I not speak aloud for what I see truth?

One day I shall stand,

Alone if I must.

One day I shall shine, amoungst those of courage and valar.

I will shine before man,

I will stand with the great,

I will fight for those I love.

One day, even a maiden such as I, will stand...alone if I must.

Please tell me what you think of this one...since my spellcheck thingy is broken, I'm not sure of my spelling and grammer...please review!
