"I can't believe I got detention."
"Dude, you set loose a full ass pig in the school."
Chester sighed as he closed his locker. His hazel brown eyes looked at the detention slip in his tan hand in annoyance.
The male, ginger teen next to him patted his back. "Hey, it could be worse. On another note, how the heck are you not cold?"
The kid was commenting on Chester's attire, a orange tank top, black basketball shorts, black sneakers, a brown baseball cap that was backwards that had a bit of his dark brown hair poking out on the front left, and a brown fleece tied around his waist. This was especially weird as the two attended Xanderville High, and Xanderville, Virginia can get pretty cold in mid January.
Chester shrugged, "I don't get that cold dude."
With that the overhead announcements came on. "Students, it is now 3:20, all students with detention slips shall go to Mr. Silverton's room immediately. Now for today's games-"
Chester shut the voice from his head at that point, he didn't care about what bad JV team was playing. "I gotta go dude, see you tomorrow."
"Bye guy." Said the ginger as he walked out. Chester threw his brown backpack onto his back and begrudgingly walked towards the science wing, was the AP Biology teacher. Xanderville High was actually a private school so it wasn't too big. It had two floors and five wings, three of which were mixes of various subject and the other two being the science and art wing. The gymnasium was in a separate building but just a minute walk away. The football field stayed behind the school and was shared between the soccer and lacrosse teams as well. Then there was the lobby at the front where Ms. Balinski was stationed. She had eyes like a hawk so any attempt to leave was foiled quickly. Chester didn't hate his school, but he didn't like that he got in trouble so much. He was just hyper and wanted to have some fun is all! The pig didn't kill anyone!
Chester opened the door to find eight other teens, all of which that were in his junior class excluding an eighth grader in the corner playing with her phone. "Where's Mr. Silverton?"
"He went out to print something he needs for tomorrow." Said a girl. She had dirty blond, curly hair that was pulled up into a bun. She wore a pink, sleeveless sweater with a long, lightweight, teal trench coat. She had black jeans that ended with a pair of brown dress shoes. Her eyes were a light green and her skin was a bit tanner then most. Chester knew her face, it was basically everywhere, she was the vice principle of the student council and number one on the debate team. Her
name was Kimberly Veramun.
"Now, as this is detention for you," Kimberly continued, "You should take a seat, Henly."
Chester rolled his eyes at the teacher's pet and the use of his last name and went to sit next to the person he was closest with in the room, which wasn't saying much as his best friends were the other football team boys.
"Sup Chester, welcome to the best party in Xanderville."
"Shut it Gilly."
Gilda Nabitha, or 'Gilly', knew Chester through their history class together where they would work together and annoy the teacher and possibly the whole class. Gilly had straight, long, bleach blond hair that framed her pale face. She wore a dark green t-shirt under a black leather jacket. Her dark green pants were tucked into a pair of black boots. Gilly was actually pretty chill. She doesn't get mad or phased that easily, honestly, Chester couldn't think of a time when he's seen Gilly anything other the neutral or excited. The blond girl also wanted to be a DJ wen she grew up, this is wh she dragged around a black, portable turntable around in a dark green tote bag. The thing was pretty cool too. It had one record player and could act as both a plug-in and bluetooth speaker.
She smirked "Your in here for the pig aren't you?"
"No dip Sherlock. What about you?"
"I was blasting music during study hall."
"That doesn't sound too bad."
"It was the John Cena theme on repeat. I was trying to annoy this idiot sitting next to me."
"Ah, got it."
"Hey! Both of you quiet! This is detention!" Yelled Kimberly
"Oh shut it you! Besides, why the heck are you here anyway?" Asked Chester
"Oh, I'm not here for detention. I was going to ask Mr. Silverton about a make up lab since I missed the last one for a debate."
"Oh yeah! You were gone so I had to do it all by myself!" A voice perked up from the back.
Chester turned to find Sapphire Giritina, a short, half Filipino girl with really long, wavy hair that was a really dark shade of brown. Most people thought it was black at first glance. Her bangs covered one of her dark brown eyes that were framed by a pair of black glasses and there was a black bow on the right side of her head. Chester knew that she was wearing a black V-neck t-shirt and a pair of denim shorts form earlier in the day, but they were now covered by an oversized, navy blue sweatshirt with a black, minimalist cat face on the front. She was resting her feet up on the desk and showed off her black, bejewled vans. Sapphire was, weird. She's nice for the most part, but her intrests ranged from anime to spiders and she can really agressive if need be. She was also a blackbelt and everyone knew that after the School Trip Incident of 2016. Now THAT was scary. Chester didn't know much about her except that though, he didn't really hang out with her and got this information from when she's yelling down the hall to her friens during passing periods.
"Okay well I'm sorry! You were able to do it though right?"
"Yeah, yeah I know. It's fine really, I like working alone." Sapphire then made a dramatic face and looked towards and imaginary camra, "...I'm just a lone wolf."
"Lone wolf my ass, you have to always walk with someone when your walking to your next class. That's why you always wait for me to walk to our study hall." another voice said.
A few seats behind Sapphire sat Richie Kassadran, a tall boy with semi-long, messy, hazel hair. It could touch the bottom of his neck but it wasn't long enough for a ponytail. His dull brown eyes looked down as his medium tan hands fiddled with the zipper of his grey hoodie. He wore a ocean blue t-shirt underneath and loose blue jeans that lead to a pair of light blue sneakers. Richie didn't know much about him minus that his parents owned a chain of ice cream stores simply called "Kassadran & Co."He was kinda quiet but not in a shy way, more like a 'I want to be literally anywhere else but here' kinda way. He didn't show much emotion actually minus the occational sarcastic remark and insulting banter with his friends.
"Nice of you to join the conversation, this is rare!" Exclaimed Gilly.
Richie just shurgged. "I'm git bored. Dentention blows."
"Why are you here anyway dude?" Asked Sapphire
"I turned in a history project."
"How the heck does that-"
"I gave him a history textbook." Richie said.
"Ohhh." Said the two girls and Chester. Kimberly shook her head in defeat of getting them under control.
"What about you Sapphire?" Asked Chester
"I acidentaly let loose the fifth grade class hamster."
"Ayyye! I let loose an animal too!" Chester said. He gave Sapphire an air high five.
"Whats up with all th animals today? I'm here since a dog followed me to school and got in. It wasn't even my dog! Why did they blame me?" Exclaimed a voice in the back.
With that, Chester looked over to see a tall boy named Lucas Goodplay. Lucas was a good guy, was relativly nice to everyone, and smart. He was very athletic too, he was captain od the swimming team and won two state championships when he was a freshman and sophmore. With that he was muscular but not like a body buildek, had very tan skin, and black eyes. His hair was black and he had it gelled to the side. He claims it's because his hair is very messy if he doesn't do so. He wore dark blue jeans and a white t-shirt. He wore a jacket that was ocean bluein the front, and white in the back. It read 'Xanderville Swim Team" across his upper back with a black stallion (the school's mascot) under the writing. He had white sneakers and wore a dog tag necklace.
"Wait, was that why I saw a doberman chasing a group of freshmen down the hall?" Asked Gilly
"Probably." Shruged Lucas
"This school's weird." Richie concluded. He got nods of agreement fo rthat stament
"Knock it off all of you! I'm trying to get some beauty sleep before comes back!" I voice from the corner of the room yelled.
Alone in the corner of the room was Haily Besco. She was one of the most stuck up girls in the school and she hung out with a group of other likeminded girls that thought they were above everyone. Her grey eyes threw daggers into the other students and her short black hair was pulled into a tiny ponytail and she wore a simple, yellow, inch wide headband to get loose hair away from her pale face. She wore a yellow halter top and a short, pink, flowy skirt that had transparent, light yellow leggings underneath that tucked into her brown, calf high Uugs. she wore a pink, fleece, fasionable cape with yellow fluff on the edges and was tied together on her neck by a cute pink bow. That was probably her coat that she was using as a blanket.
"Oh shut it, you arn't even supposed to be sleeping in detention!" Yelled Chester.
"Oh look whose talking!" Haily yelled in retaliation. She then turned to face the eighth grader in the room that was playing on her iPhone. "And who the heck is that?" She pointed
Chester didn't know the girl, he didn't know that many people in other grades. The girl had medium tan skin and her hair was dyed a deep shade of purple that it almost looked black. She wore a dark red tanktop with a lavender purple jacket. She had dark purple jean shorts with a pair of black tights underneath that ended with a pair of light purple vans. Her blue eyes looked up in confusion at the sudden attention brought on her.
"Ingnore her, that my little sister, Emily." Said Richie.
"Okay, but why is she here? This is a high school detention room." Asked Lucas
"Richie's my ride, our mom wouldn't pick me up early." Said Emily
"Okay okay, we met all of the breakfast club, can we all shut up now?" Asked Haily.
"No. There's that kid." Sapphire pointed.
Sure enough, they're was one lone kid in the back. Chester knew the kid as Dexter Salvenski. Dexter was quiet, like REALLY quiet. He didn't hang out with anyone and usually just kept to himself reading a book. He was shorter then the rest of the junior boys and even a few girls (not Sapphire though). He had pale skin dotted with freckles and long, light brown that e pulled into a ponytail where the tip reached his shoulders. He wore a light grey, long sleeve dress shirt with a red sweater vest over it. He had a red belt on his khaki pants and brown dress shoes. He had a pair of red headphones he wore all the time to block people out while he's reading. This was the reason he didn't look up when Sapphire brought attention to him.
"Oh that's Dexter." Said Richie. "I was in his class when he got attention."
"How did he get it?" Asked Gilly
"He wore his headphones during class."
"But, he always pays attention in class." wondered Chester
"It was that really boring sub we have. He stopped paying attention like 30 minutes in."
"Oh my gosh everyone shush!" Yelled Kimberly, "Where is Mr. Silverton? I need to go before my Girl Scout cadette meeting!"
"Of course your in Girl Scouts as a junior." Said Gilly rolling her eyes.
"Here." Chester got up and went to Mr. Silverton's computer, "Just find the assiment on his computer." He started typing on the keys and clicking on the mouse.
"W-wait no! Stop! This is definaly against the rules!" Yelled Kimberly. Haily put her head in her hands in frustration, Lucas, Emily, and Richie watched on with neutral expressions, Sapphire was laughing waiting for the teacher to return, and Gilly actually went to help Chester out. Dexter finally became interested in the sudden movement and commotion and placed his headphones around his neck.
"Relax, what can go wrong?" Said Gilly
"That's usually the worse thing to say in almost every situation." Said Richie jokingly.
"What, why?" Asked Kimberly
"What, have you never seen cartoons?" Exclaimed Richie
"I didn't watch them when I was little, no."
"Oooooooh shoot, I think I broke it." Said Chester. Richie gave the dirty blond an 'I told you so' side glance.
"Yeah, definatly you. Imma go back to my desk before the teacher comes back." Said Gilly as she ran back to her desk and grabbed her tote.
Sapphire walked over to the computer while the others watched
"Oh yeah, this is definatly not right." She said as she turned the moniter towards the rest of the class to reveal a white, glitchy screen. Sapphire and Chester walked to the other side of the desk.
"Wow, great job! You're an official idiot!" Exclaimed Haily in an overly nice voice. Chester rolled his eyes
"Sapphire, you're in robotics, do something!" Yelled Lucas
"Bruh, you really think I know what I'm doing in that class? My partner does all the technical stuff and I just do what she says."
After that last word the screen turned black.
Dexter spoke up "...Did it turn off-"
With that, a whirlpool emmited from the moniter screen started sucking in all the students.
"WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" Yelled Gilly as she and the others were sucked in.
When everyone was gone the computer reverted back to it's normal desktop and it looked as if nothing happened. The room is silent for about 10 minutes until a teacher, Mr. Silverton, comes back. He was a old man with grey messy hair and a bit of a belly. He wore a plaid, light blue dress shirt, grey pants, and black dress shoes. He looked around, shrugged, placed the papers on his desk, and left the room taking his suitcase with him.
