Oranges and Lemons

Okay, so this is a COMPLETE spur of the moment thing. I'm not sure if I'll add more…

Disclaimer: I don't own Saint Seiya. And I don't own this rhyme.

"Oranges and Lemons," say the Bells of Saint Clement's,
"You owe me three farthings," say the Bells of Saint Martin's,
"When will you pay me?" say the Bells of Old Bailey,
"When I grow rich," say the Bells of Shoreditch,
"When will that be?" say the Bells of Stepney,
"I do not know," say the Great Bells of Bow.
"Here comes a candle to light you to bed,
Here comes a chopper to chop off your head,
Chip chop, chip chop – the last man's dead."

Oranges and Lemons…

As he lay dying he remembered the small pleasures of life he never appreciated.

You owe me three farthings…

So many debts owed – of friendship and of courage never asked.

When will you pay me?

Never to be repaid…

When I grow rich…

"I'll be a Saint! I'll protect you all!"

When will that be?

"I'll be one really soon! I'll work until I make it!"

I do not know…

I don't know anymore… I can't protect anyone…

Here comes a candle to light you to bed…

He sees the light above him. The sun… He reaches up to it.

Here comes a chopper to chop off your head…

The light disappears. Gone.

"Good night…" The arm raises.

Chip chop, chip chop –

It swings down, bringing death with it.

The last man's dead.
