Harry woke up sweating, and confused about where he was. It had been a while since he had had such vivid nightmares about that battle that occurred only 7 years ago. Time had flown by, with its ups, downs and in-betweens. Only a couple of weeks previously, Harry and Ginny had discovered that they were going to have a child of their own. Ginny had had a successful and enjoyable career with the Holyhead Harpies so she was happy to step down after the end of the season. While Harry was ecstatic about starting a family, he felt guilty for feeling so happy when everyone had lost so much. But most of all he knew that this was what he had fought for all those years ago. He forced to remind himself that without that battle, Voldemort might still be alive, and many others would be dead, and that those who died, died not for him, but for the cause, so that their families could be free. He hoped that in his speech he would be able to keep his cool, but having reflected on each year before, he thought that that would be impossible. His mind wandered to the child growing in the woman lying next to him, they had decided to tell the family today, hoping to put some light onto this dark day. He could feel his wife stirring so he pressed his lips to her bare shoulder and made his way downstairs to start breakfast.

The morning passed quickly until suddenly it was half past ten and time for them to head for Hogwarts for the service at eleven. Harry and Ginny made their way outside and apparated to the grounds. As they walked towards the castle, Harry tried to find a flash of blue amongst the people milling around, but he could not spot Teddy's hair anywhere. Finally he saw Andromeda speaking in hushed tones with her sister Narcissa, but Teddy was nowhere to be seen. Instead of entering the crowd, he turned away towards the lake, to where he himself would hide away.

Harry felt his heart turn over at the sight of Teddy Lupin looking so sad and lost at the lakeside. He sat down next to his godson and slipped an arm around his shoulders. "I know" was all he said.

"I miss them." Teddy confessed

"I know you do. I do too. But they died so that you could live in a world without fear and evil, they died for you, so that you could be safe and happy. Anyway, you have your grandmother, and you have me, you're not alone Teddy, far from it. We all love you." Teddy leaned into him as a few tears escaped.
