Turtles were cute, but one turtle in particular had her heart. Ladybug didn't mind at all, not as her patrol ran a little long, or as her mind wandered to just anything else than what it should be focused on. Her mind sometimes wandered during long patrols, and whenever it did, she fought to stay focused or look focused. Crime would be scared of Ladybug, right?
She sighed as she passed by an apartment building that she'd come to know all too well. Hot meals that they'd scoop out of the pot, cuddling in a small bedroom overtop bean bags while usually listening to music. Ladybug could probably tell you so much about that close knit family, could ramble for days about the son that was her age, a guy that could effectively turn her heart into putty and her knees weak.
Ladybug shook her head to ward off the thoughts of longing, of knocking on his window and being let in, of getting a chance to cuddle close whether she was transformed or not. That apartment had become a lot like a second home to her lately.
"Hey, Ladybug!" Carapace stopped beside her, "I saw you in the neighborhood, and you looked like you needed help."
"No, I was just thinking of you." She smiled as she glanced over to him.
"Oh, do you mind the interruption?" He smiled, and she was already shaking her head.
"It's fine. I guess tonight was much of a patrolling night for me. I can't focus." She spun towards him, "And now, I now it's the two of us." They'd tried to stop scheduling patrols at the same time, because whenever they did that, Carapace and Ladybug may have gotten a little distracted together.
Patrols with Carapace had a tendency to end in rooftop snuggles and as many kisses as they could get away with until they realized that they really needed to get home or got caught by Cat Noir which happened way too often.
That could leave her face permanently red, especially since they hadn't talked about his feelings for a while, and she was really worried that she broke his heart every time that she kissed the boy that somehow stole hers.
"Tired, Marinette?" Nino smiled as he offered her a cup of coffee, "I was a little sleepy this morning, and remembered that you like coffee on early mornings."
"Th-Thank you." Marinette smiled up at her boyfriend; he'd become an avid tea drinker since Master Fu had been teaching him how to be a Grand Guardian and how to wield the Turtle Miraculous. The fact that he still remembered that she liked coffee every now and again sent her heart racing in her chest.
"No problem. Couldn't sleep?" Nino asked, turning around in his chair to face her again.
"Yeah, there may have been a turtle or two that kept me up." Marinette smiled back at him, willing to play that game.
"Or two?" Nino asked, and Marinette's smile softened as she leaned over and kissed his cheek.
"Just you and may be Wayzz?" She asked, and Nino relaxed as he reached out a hand for hers.
"What did you do?" Alya asked, trying to catch up on whatever they missed.
"We called each other." Marinette spoke up at the same time as her boyfriend went to speak. "We fell asleep talking." She admitted to though in all actuality, they'd spent the night before transformed and kissing over top of a random Parisian rooftop not far from Nino's apartment, but that wasn't a thing that they could tell their friends right now anyway.
