Blinded by Love: Introduction

Pen in hand, one of the Miller sisters wrote this after waking up in between midnight and two o'clock A.M. Her hand shaking, she realized this was the result of the nightmare that inhibited her sleep. The nightmare was more like a symbolic prophetic vision, one that she could not comprehend the meaning of. While petrified and nearly tearing, she wrote the following on a piece of old, worn paper:

Love can result in cruelty,

From the ones she loved dearly,

A sister, a friend, or an educator could endanger,

The love she nearly obtained,

Closed eyes,

Boiling tears,

She tries to tell him her love is near,

Holding him, she cries out,

"Leave now, I will see you later",

"When the time is right",

He staggers due to endangered love,

Blinded by poison,

Caused by love.

The writer put her pen down, pondering over what this possibly prophetic poem could mean. She felt sorrow, worry, fear, and anger pour over her. She thought about how the poem could affect her life. "This cannot be," she said with great fear. "I thought it was-"

By chance, her pen on the table made the glass on the table shatter, the Chipette's chair knocking her down on the floor. She let out a bloodcurdling scream as the glass fell on her dark-coloured nightie. The nightie limited her movement, since it was long. She was unable to get up from the floor. In addition, she was bleeding not copiously from her face, hands, arms, legs, and sock-covered feet. She screamed again like previously. "Vanish from this place!," she yelled quite loudly. There she lay, for the rest of the early morning, thinking about the possibly prophetic poem. She knew that sleeping would only frighten her more.
