Just to make this all clear: All characters and obvious settings belongs to Rick Riorden, this is the only time I will say this in the story. This will be AU in the fact that they are way more campers in this story on both sides and everything will be much more intense then the story, at least the way I would've like to have seen in the later books. I hope you enjoy. (:

'What in Hades was she doing?'

Annabeth Chase wondered this as she crept through the forest of the place she once called home. She had an elite battalion of demi-gods she handpicked and trained herself, the Vanguard of the Titan Lord.

From her place in the forest she surveyed the battlefield, the campers had surrounded the entrance to the Labyrinth, the Apollo campers were set up behind the front lines, firing two to three arrows and a time. This kept the monsters at bay, and she watched following the arrows as they hit their target.

She noticed it was cloudy and since the weather at camp was controlled by Chiron, clearly wondered why it looked like it was about to pour rain; dramatic effect? She shrugged and noticed the finally that a few monster were finally making it past the wall of arrows, they didn't get far as they were met with a blood-curdling war cry by Clarisse and the spears of the blood-thirsty Ares Cabin.

When the rain started to fall and thunder boomed, startling most of her companions, a volley of arrows were destroyed by a sudden and powerful force, followed by the man she has grew up with since she was seven, and her supposed lover:

Luke.

He charged at the campers with a malicious glint in his eye, his sword an evil glint, cutting through the line of Ares campers. Annabeth quickly decided to attack the Apollo campers, without the archer support the sheer numbers of the invading monsters would overwhelm the camps defenses, and when she sent her troops to attack from behind it would certainly cause chaos, and Annabeth was going to use that chaos to sneak away for a more personal purpose:

Percy Jackson.
