My Angel
Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece.
A/N: Written for my friend, Super-nanny. I actually came up with this fic while drawing up the Axe-Head crew and while drawing Devon with an arm holding Kirsty, his wife, I drew this so lovingly, they're my favorite couple. Anyways, this is to Kirsty. Love you girl! –blows kiss-
Leaning against the mast of their newly "acquired" ship, Kirsty closed her eyes as the salt breeze of the Blue fluttered through the ship, filling the sails as it moved to its new location. Her thumb toyed with her ring one her left hand. Her husband, Devon, proposed and married on the same day. Incidentally, it was Chizuru, their navigator, who married them, not the captain, as was tradition. Then again, they were in battle and Axe was busy at the moment.
Ah, Devon. The Demon. Ironically, he had wings of an angel, being a Sky Man. He was her angel, her protector and, when the time calls for it, her husband. She could remember every incident that held them together, when they first met, their first kiss, even their marriage, even though bloodshed was all around.
Kirsty smiled as she remembered meeting up with her handsome husband and his little brother. In Tristram, a place where she was working as a doctor in a little clinic, she was just on her way home from a full day's work when she ran into a performer on her street, her crewmate Dusty. Of course, she wasn't the only one stopped as Devon and Austin was stopped as well, watching Dusty perform. Of course, the performance was cut short when one of Dusty's old crew showed up to take revenge. That's when she saw "Demon" fight, thankful that she wasn't his opponent.
Of course, once Niri had won their last ship, the Tomahawk, there was the torture of Devon's cooking. Ugh, burnt fish, day in and day out. Thankful for Herman swimming by that their stomach were saved with the best breakfast that the Blue has ever seen. She loved her husband but he could not cook to save his life. That memory had brought a smile on Kirsty's face.
Kirsty started to hum a little song when someone sat next to her and nudged her gently. "Stop it, you're making me jealous."
"Can't help that." Kirsty just smiled as she looked up, a hand over her eyes to block out the sun. "What's up?"
Niri looked at her friend before whistling for Sora, petting the Sky Fox before adjusting the straps. The fox was getting big fast. "Your hubby was just on his way to the kitchen. He looks all messed up." Giving her friend a look, Kirsty blushed a deep red and looked away. "Thought so."
"Hey, I am married, it's perfectly legal." Niri just shook her head and smiled, brushing the fox's fur. "Ask you a question?"
"Besides that?" Looking up at the doctor, she smiled. "Yeah, what's up?"
Kirsty poked Niri's ribs, causing the girl to squeak loudly before covering her mouth. "I knew you were ticklish. Anyways, um…" Blushing a bright red, Kirsty leaned in a whispered in the sniper's ear.
First, her eyes went wide, then she blushed, then laughed before looking at the doctor. "Now how would I know that?" Looking back at Sora, the sniper smiled. "Just do this," she started before whispering her plan.

Devon blinked as he watched Austin chase around Pingu after the bird stole his cookie. Growling, he reminded himself to have a little "chat" with his nakama. Two arms wrapped themselves around his neck and a face nuzzled against his. "This is a pleasant surprise."
"I don't think you're a demon." Devon just raised an eyebrow as his hair was ruffled. "No, you're too sweet to be a demon, you're too handsome to be evil but you are bad." The last word sent shivers up his spine. "But I think you're an angel sometimes. My angel." Kirsty never finished with her statement before her husband turned around and pushed her against a wall, kissing her with all of the passion in the world.
"Yeah, my demonic angel."
