It was another summer at camp. Everyone would be coming back. Jessica Rosen couldn't wait to see her friends from last year. She never left camp. Her father was dead, or just didn't care about her. It was hard for her to go live with her mother. Jessica was a demigod. Her mother was Athena, Goddess of Wisdom. It wouldn't be that odd for her to live on Olympus. Jessica was immortal, to a point. She was a Huntress of Artemis.

A week before the other campers were due to arrive, Artemis announced a Chariot Race. The campers who were currently in camp would start building them, and their cabin mates would help when they arrived. The gods also built their own chariots. Hades was one of the first to decide to participate.

"I'm sure my nephew wouldn't mind me taking his chariot. After all, what's family for?" he said as he snuck into the safe house.

"Hey! What are you doing with Percy's chariot? I knew you were low, but this? This is pretty bad, even for you!" a boy from the Ares cabin yelled.

Hades looked at the boy with fire in his eyes. "And what are you going to do about it? You're just a demigod, and I'm an actual god."

Meanwhile, Jessica was in the Artemis cabin. She was ready to participate in the chariot race, but she wasn't sure how to go about building her chariot. She looked all around the cabin. 'Maybe one of my fellow Huntresses has left behind a plan…' she thought. If Jessica was going to build a chariot off of someone else's plan, it might as well be from someone in her cabin. Excitement filled the thirteen year old demigod as she found a plan hidden under a floorboard. The chariot in the plan looked pretty aerodynamic, and it looked cool, so Jessica decided to build it. She left her cabin in search of supplies and tools.

Outside of her cabin, Athena was trying to help the Son of Ares. "Hades, leave him alone! He does have a point!" she yelled in an attempt to distract the God of Death. Jessica was shocked to see her mother. She hadn't seen her since last year when she decided to join the Huntresses.

Athena and Hades started to fight. Jessica knew that she wouldn't stand a chance in a battle of the gods. However, that didn't mean watching wasn't out of the question. Jessica snuck behind her cabin and found a tall oak tree to climb. She would be safe up there, not to mention she would be able to watch. Athena beat Hades. "Don't think you've heard the last of this Athena! And don't think you're so safe Jessica!" Hades said before disappearing into the underworld.

Athena looked at the tree where Jessica was starting to climb down. She got to a branch that was still pretty high off the ground and jumped, landing on her feet. "Just because you're a Huntress doesn't mean that you're entirely immortal. You shouldn't have come out of your cabin. Hades is extremely bent on revenge now, and he's probably going to come after you soon," Athena said to her daughter. Jessica was trying to avoid her mother's words. She meant well, but her words would impale some of Jessica's favorite things to do. "Here, you're going to need these. This whistle will transport you to wherever you want to go to be safe. This healing potion will heal anything, but you can only use it once so use it wisely." Athena hugged her daughter before heading off.

In the Underworld, Hades was plotting his revenge.

*I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Please read and review and hopefully I will get the next chapter up soon!*
