George opened his eyes.

Sure enough, his wish was granted. He saw Fred! He smiled at his long lost twin. But something felt terribly wrong. No. This could not be his twin. Fred's smile was never so empty, never so sad.
It was then that he realized that he was staring into a mirror.

No, nothing had changed. Fred was still dead. He was never coming back. A familiar crushing sensation gripped George's heart. Even though it had been ten years since he passed away, George still felt as if this was one of those practical jokes of Fred that no one really got; that he would come bustling in any second with his trademark mischievous grin, an impish glint in his eyes.

"Where are you Fred? Come back." George thought to himself. He had not been able to produce a patronus since his brother died. It was as though, along with Fred, all his happy memories had vanished.
Others believed that George did a great job getting over Fred's death. But the truth was that he had locked his personal hell inside him; one which nobody knew about. Nobody, except for Angelina, his wife.

"Hey, you," Angelina said, hugging him from behind. "Sleep well?"

But she knew the answer already. George never slept well. The same dream tormented him night after night... A brilliant flash of green light taking away Fred's life, the ghost of his last laugh still present on his face. George always woke up in the middle of the night, trembling and would never be able to go back to sleep again.

"Same old, same old." George tried to make a joke of it. Laughing hurt.

Angelina hesitated for a moment.

"There is something I have been meaning to tell you, Georgie."

"Yeah?"

"We're gonna have a baby. It is a boy," she said quietly.

George slowly turned to face her. "Really?"

She gave a small smile. "Really."

Somehow, at that instant, George knew. It was Fred! He came back!

He smiled. Actually, genuinely smiled. Happiness and peace filled him, leaving him warm.

"So, what do we name him?" She asked, but she knew the answer to that as well.

"Fred."

And a single drop of tear escaped his eye.

She hugged him close. Before he knew, he was crying like a baby. But they were tears of joy.

Freddie was coming back.
