Ludwig looked out the window of his and Feliciana's apartment. It was still raining. The German- born man sighed.

"What's wrong?" a feminine voice asked as Ludwig felt a pair of arms wrap around his midsection.

"I am getting tired of seeing all of this rain," replied Ludwig.

"We do live in London, Ludwig," Feliciana said, "What did you expect?"

"One decent day to take you out," answered Ludwig. Feliciana rested her head on Ludwig's back.

"Then let's ignore the rain and go out anyway," said the young auburn- headed Italian woman. Ludwig rested his hands atop Feliciana's.

"Sounds like a good idea."

The couple were leaving their favorite restaurant, hand in hand. Ludwig was trying to balance the umbrella with his free hand over his girlfriend.

"I love the rain," said Feliciana, "I love how it makes everything feel so fresh and new in the end."

Ludwig slightly smiled. It the two years they had been together, Feliciana somehow always saw the positive in everything. It was one of the things that Ludwig adored about Feliciana. Ludwig let go of Feliciana's hand and handed the umbrella to the woman. Feliciana looked at Ludwig, confused.

"What are you doing, Ludwig?" asked the Italian woman. Ludwig put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box.

"I was waiting for the perfect time to do this," said Ludwig, handing the box to his girlfriend. Feliciana took it and opened it. She stared a small silver diamond ring, then back to Ludwig.

"Are you…"

Feliciana fell speechless. She took the ring out of its box and looked it over. Ludwig nodded in reply to Feliciana's unfinished sentence.

"Ja, Feliciana," the blond man spoke, "I want you to become my wife."

Ludwig took the ring gently from Feliciana and slid it on her finger. The woman smiled widely at the man standing before her.

"Si, Ludwig!" Feliciana whispered, "Si, ti sposero."

Feliciana tossed the opened umbrella aside and jumped into Ludwig's arms, kissing him passionately under the rain.
