Disclaimer: I shall say it once and once only: PTTR is not mine! For both this fiction, and for the New Year story I posted a day ago, where I forgot my disclaimer!

I was keeping myself motivated doing yoga by watching some Rafters... And this came up watching Episode 2.03. This is the result.

Rachel: I mean, all I'm really looking for... Well, he has to have a brain.
Libby: Always helpful.
Rachel: And he just needs to be passionate about something.

Libby smiled teasingly.

Libby: As long as it's not yoga or pharmaceuticals.
Rachel: Yeah, and as far as looks go, I don't really have a type.
Libby: Okay good. That helps.

And then it started. Rachel's 'list' of the perfect man. But she wasn't picky, apparently.

Rachel: But he needs to be sexy. No weight in proportion to height. No short guys. You know, preferably 5'10". Make that six foot. And I do really like dark hair.
Libby: But apart from that, you're not 'picky' at all.
Rachel: No, apart from that I'm very open.

However it was obvious that Rachel was anything but open minded when it came to potential guys. Little had she known, but she had almost word for word described the footy playing 'bogan' she had run into that morning.

Jake was passionate, not that it was apparent at first, about several things. But two things in particular; his family and his footy.

And he was smart. He was a hands on kind of guy, better with the more hands on work, making him the fit right into his trade as an electrician.

The list Rachel had rattled off about looks; Jake was the perfect fit. Dark hair, tall, athletic.

Months, even a year later, Rachel could look back and see that looks weren't everything. Had she not 'fallen' into getting to know Jake, she might have never met her perfect match. First meeting, she'd seen him as the arrogant bogan he came across as when she and Libby had bumped into him at the park, and then when she saw him again whilst on another blind date.

His looks were spot on. Tick.

Getting to know Jake, his passion became clear in his constant defence of his mother. Tick.

His commitment to his job was also apparent, as she witnessed Jake's work with her father. Commitment. Tick.

Appearances weren't everything, as Rachel had learnt.

Letting things run its course had worked out for Rachel this time. After all, she still had Jake by her side, didn't she?

Just a little something... Would love a review!
