..: Chapter One : Night Gone Wrong :..

"Ffffuck."Celeste murmered, stepping outside her the front entrance of the Lahey Appartments and rested her hands on her hips.

A slight wind blew, ruffling her black hair that was pierced with golden streaks and she shivered, moving her hands up to her shoulders, rubbing them.

The streetlights weren't much help in the dark - neither was the pale moonlight .. Serena had run off again.

She looked to her left, her right - nothing. Celeste blew out air, watching as the white puffs appear in front of her, and she looked over her shoulder.

Her mom was already dialing for the police with the service phone. Celeste bit her thumbnail, a habit for her and steered her vision back out on the streets.

Hide and Seek was Serena's favorite game to play - but when out on the streets, that six year old could be sought by a druggie or a murderer.

Celeste shook the horrific images out of her head and decided it was her responsibility to get her little sister back.

She jumped off the top of the stairs, feeling the breeze rush at her as if wanting to push her back towards the door. Suddenly, she picked up a soft voice murmering and a much more harse voice diagonally from her, in between the two shops. Celeste squinted, it was too dark to see what was going on. The voice, a girl, squealed - Serena! - and was pulled, out of sigh into the dark abyss.

"Serena!"Celeste called out with a hoarse voice and ran as fast as her long legs could take her, her chest nearly to explode.

She stopped herself, panting, looking around in the darkness for anything - anyone. Celeste gasped suddenly, as she saw a swirling mass .. like an ominous vortex of colors. Eerie sounds moaned from it, as if it were a ghostland and the members of that land were calling out to Celeste. Beads of sweat slowly rolled off her forehead, to the sides of her face. She swiped them away with her bare wrist and watched as the mass slowly started to shrink. What if it were a trap? What if Serena wasn't there?

"Go."she said in a ragged whisper, then ran, pumping her legs and dove into the mass, eyes closed tight.

Celeste kept her eyes closed, afraid of what she might see and held her arms over her head just in case something came flying out to attack her. It seemed she was free falling for eons and eons, with those moans screaming louder and louder.

TTHHUUUMPP!

Celeste landed on her back and she automatically curled up from the impact. She groaned, slowly sitting up, rubbing her head and opening her eyes. What she saw, was pure white .. there was nothing but an endless white abyss. She heard a creak, and she looked - there was her sister being pulled through what seemed to be a door. A door in nothingness? That made no sense!

"Celeste!"she screech, holding out her arms as she was dragged by the waist.

"Selena-"Celeste pushed herself halfway up before a silver cane suddenly fell in front of her and she looked up - but her vision was still a little garbled from the 'fall'.

"Why don't you just relax."said a cold voice.

Celeste suddenly blacked out.
