They hid it for so long that even in that moment, when it was now or never, he still had a hard time saying it out loud.
He wasn't ashamed. That much Morgan knew as a fact. He wasn't ashamed of loving his significantly younger partner. He wasn't ashamed of their relationship…but Reid had made him promise, made him swear on this thing between them, that he wouldn't say anything.
The strange thing was it didn't matter now but he still had a hard time saying it.
"Have you decided sir?"
Morgan has to force his thought back to the present. He knows Garcia's standing next to him, ready and willing to take over at a moment's notice. He wants to just get the hell out of that building and leave the rest to her…but this…this is for Reid. He wants, needs, to be the one doing this.
"What we discussed earlier will be fine." Morgan answers, having a hard time believing that was his own voice.
The man in the dark suit gives him a nod, "So 'Son, Friend, Lover'?"
Morgan lets his eyes fall to the gravestone. "Perfect."
He wants the world to know, he wants his, their, friends to know. He wasn't ashamed, and he still isn't. Spencer Reid was his lover; Spencer Reid was the love of his life.
He wants the world to know that he was loved. And always would be.
