Disclaimer: I own nothing shounen-ai mentioning, and a little sadness Confessions By Tsumi

Kurama looked at the words written on the paper, frowned erased and wrote again. He reread the words and threw the paper into the garbage can by his desk pulling out a fresh sheet of paper he tried again. Hiei had been watching this strange action of his fox for the last thirty minutes and he still didn't understand it. He walked over and uncrumpled the discarded paper. Reading it he looked over at Kurama who was once again writing something.
"What are you doing fox"
"Trying to word this right." The red-haired youko said simply erasing the lin he had just written.
Hiei looked down at the paper he had picked up. "what's wrong with this one"
"It just isn't right." He read over the words on the paper and sighed. "not even close"
"We don't have much time left fox it's almost sunrise." Hiei told him looking out the window.
"I know." Sad green eyes looked up at him. "I guess this will have to do, let's go and join the others"
Kurama stood looking around the now almost empty bed-room, he smiled sadly and changed becoming the silver youko and placing a single red rose on the letter he slipped out the window behind his lover. Saying goodbye one last time to the world that no longer held any power over him.

Shiori entered the room that had belonged to her son. She was sad he was gone, there had been no warning and such a nice group of young men and women had been killed. She wiped away a tear and looked at the desk. Ther was a rose on the desk along with a piece of paper, in Shuuichi's hand writing one of his other friends must have brought it by and left it here for her. She opened it up and read the letter.

Kasan,
I am sorry that I could not tell you good bye or the truth before I left this world. The truth about my self and my companions. You see long ago I was a youko Kitsune, I was killed in the Makia but I fled to the mortal world and merged with your unborn child becoming Shuichi. I thank you for your love and teaching this to me, it helped me to be a better person mother. You were my inspiration to fight so hard to defeat those who finally killed us. You see we fought here in the Ningenkai to stop our own kind from conquering this world. Four the last five years I have been a member of the Reikia tentai team led by Yuusuke, yes he was our leader. Kuwabara and Hiei were also members of the team, also Kasan I never had the chance to tell you but I love Heie. He and I are together now and I wish we did have your blessing. I do love you kasan but I can't stay here any longer.

Good bye, Your son Shuichi

"Good bye my son." She whispered folding the paper and holding the rose carefully between her fingers. "I love you too, and yo do have my blessings wherever you are."
