Title: Failed Symmetry (or, I tried to think of a non-poncy name and failed)

The biggest problem in their relationship wasn't the difference in personalities. Sure, Kid was obsessive-compulsive, neurotic, and a complete nut, but Black*Star was loud, obnoxious, and prone to fighting with inanimate objects. And breaking things. Mostly Kid's things.
It definitely wasn't disapproval from the friends, although Soul's reaction (namely laughing hysterically any time Black*Star and Kid were even in the same room) could hardly be considered "supportive," everyone else seemed at least ambivalent to the pair. Tsubaki still hung around, a fake, shy smile plastered across her pretty face, but Maka assured Black*Star that she was dealing with it, "As well as can be expected." And "Did you really expect anything else?!"
It was the lack of symmetry that really led to the screaming matches, and the crying (entirely on Kid's part). Sure, Kid was asymmetrical too, what with his hair (not that he liked being reminded of this fact), but asymmetry can be balanced in a couple by asymmetry on the other side on the other partner.
This was not the case.
Black*Star's signature star on his bicep was definitely on the same side as Kid's hair "disaster," which meant, of course, that their relationship would be forever doomed.
So Black*Star suggested blindfolds.
