Dark clouds filled the sky. The stars shone as bright as they could. A black cat with yellowish stripes was padding through her mountain home. Her amber eyes shone in the darkness. As she walked along the path, her heart pounded wildly. She looked down the slope. A waterfall could be heard from the LightClan border. She ignored the noise and continued onward. She could feel the wind blowing at her fur, and the spirits whispering of great legends to come. I wonder if one of those spirits is speaking of me?She thought. Her gaze settled on a small cave nearby. As she got closer, she wondered how her Clanmates were doing. Was her sister alright? Were her brothers fighting? Again? All these thoughts exploded through her head as her paws began to ache. Then she wondered about the cruel leader. Was he dead? She hoped so. Then she began to worry. Leaf-bare was coming soon. Soon her Clanmates would suffer disease and prey shortage. StarClan, please keep them safe. She arrived at the bottom of the slope. All she needed to do now was swim. She dived into the river. Swimming as swiftly as possible, she clenched her jaw. As she jumped out of the water, she glanced at her medicine cat. "Great StarClan, that water was cold!" The silver tabby spat. Her black-furred paws were wet. The black she-cat casted a look at her own yellowish paws. They were wet too. "Calm down, we're here." They padded into the cave together, the silver medicine cat leading the way. The black she-cat stepped into the hollow. The rock was glowing bright, so bright it made their eyes glow and their fur shine. "It's all up to you now." The silver tabby whispered. The black she-cat nodded and touched her nose to the cold, sparkling crystal. She heard voices whispering around her and her world plunged into darkness.
