"Hey, I need to get a hold of Mike E, make that happen, will ya?" Saul Goodman called out from the floor, where he was receiving a massage, hopefully (for him) one that included a "happy ending."
"I have a name you know," his reception called out, sighing as she finished shutting the door. Some days they just didn't pay her enough.
"Yeah, Sally, Susie, Stacy, Snooky, whatever..."
And just like that, Saul already forgot about his new clients, and Mike and everything else that had been weighing on his mind. Sweet Release was just a matter of minutes away. Minutes- according to him five minutes would have been a welcome record for him, but whatever.

"Saul. Mike." The gruff voice had already given away the caller, but still, Saul recognized that Mike was not a small talk kind of guy. Which was fine by Saul. There were some days where even he hated the sound of his own voice.
"Yeah, great timing, buddy. You just caught me when I was, shall we say, at the end of my rope?! "
"Saul," Mike sighed. "Do yourself a favor and leave some things to the imagination, will ya?" It was not a question.
"Okay, anyhew...listen, Mike, I got these new clients...I need to ask you a favor. Your schedule free right now?"
"Nothing that can't be rearranged for the right price."
"No skin of my back. I'm not the one paying for your time. Listen," Saul continued. "I got these two...clients. Not your typical dynamic duo. One, he's kind of a brainiac...Einstein, really..."
"If he's so smart why does he need you?" Mike retorted.
Saul laughed nervously. "Just because of our 'friendship' and also because of the fact that just seconds before you called, I was ready to experience the best or..."
"Saul..." Mike warned.
"Okay, okay, sorry. Right, back to Batman and Robin. Yeah, the leader, he's a real genius. Problem is, for whatever reason, he picked this kid, who, how can I say this tactfully? The kid's no Einstein. He got himself in over his head, both of them, apparently. So if I give you an address, can you do a little clean up detail?" Saul asked as he realized that his fly was still down from his experience a few minutes prior to Mike's call.
"Clean-up. Got it. I presume this will be covered under our 'insurance' policy?"
"Of course, of course, would I ever steer you wrong? Wait, don't answer that. Call me back from a free line and I'll give you the details. Ciao."
Saul sighed, then looked around. "Hey, Sally...you see my Asian friend anywhere?"
"She's gone, Saul."
"What do you mean? I..."
"You're not the only one who charges by the hour, Saul."
He wanted to say something back to her, but instead wound up muttering under his breath. And with that, he sat back in his chair, waited for the call from Mike.
The end
