Ron and Hermione were sitting in the garden of the Burrow, their arms wrapped around each other tightly. They were in complete silence. Any other couple would have found this at least the tiniest bit awkward but for them just being in each other's arms was enough.

It had been three weeks since they had returned from Australia, where they had found Hermione's parents. Mr and Mrs Weasley had invited the Grangers to stay at the Burrow until things were back to normal and they had found somewhere to stay. Hermione was grateful for this as she could stay with Ron for a little more time, however tonight was her last night.

Over the past few weeks they had taken to sitting in the garden and watching the sunset over the hills. Tonight the warm, golden light glowed on their skin as they sat, their arms entwined around each other, the ever-growing silence full of love for each other.

"Hermione?" Ron broke the silence, a questioning look on his face as he brushed a stray hair from her forehead.

"Yes?" She replied, a looking puzzled.

"Will you marry me?" he said quite simply. The words didn't need to be anything more than simple as they were perfect the way they were as there could only ever be one answer.

"Yes!" Hermione squealed, whipping around to face him and hugging his tightly, "As if I could marry anyone else!"

Indeed, this was not the romantic Eiffel Tower proposal she had dreamt of since she was a young girl, but it was better than that. She didn't care that his words were not written in the sky. She hadn't lied when she said he was the only one she could ever marry, he was the only one she could ever fall in love with. Admitted it had not been love at first sight, but that only happens in fairy tales, and their life was NOT a fairy tale. Their life was far from flawless, but it was perfect and just the way they liked it.

After a few minutes Ron pulled Hermione away from his chest and looked into her eyes, the golden sunlight reflecting off the tears of happiness that had appeared just moments before. They both leant in and when their lips touched it felt like fireworks, it sounds like such a cliché but it's the truth; they had kissed many times before but it always surprised them that if felt just as magical every time.

That night they fell asleep in each others arms, wishing to slay like this forever.
