Reverse
Sam's dreams had been getting stranger and stranger. He had tried to ignore them, but lost that battle after the third night.
Sam left his dorm late on the third night after he had been awoken by the dream again. He went down to the college library, picked the lock, and fired up one of the computers.
It didn't take Sam long to log into his email and type Dean's address in the 'To' line. Now came the hard part, the actual words. How did he tell Dean how sorry he was?
Hey Dean,
I've been having these strange dreams about how things would be different. I can't go on much longer with out letting you how sorry I am.
If I had one wish, I would wish for the world to reverse its self. Salt would be sweet. Sugar would be sour. The gentle rain would be acid that bit at our skin. But my decision to leave would have been the best choice I could have made.
Sam sat there for a minute after sending the letter, and then he logged of and left, locking the door behind him. Dean watched him go, before turning away. Dean knew he was sorry. That email had proven it.
Be careful what you wish for, Sammy. If the world were to reverse, just remember I made choices too.
