It was a dark but star scattered night. The pale moon cast it's haunting light over the vast grassy land below. It was cool. The air, icy and frozen, blew a chilly wind over the mountainside, forest and azure ocean. It was like the perfect world. Not a horror in site, and that is how it stayed until that fateful night in December. This, of course, is where our story begins.

"No!"…"Yes!"..."No!"…"Yes!"…"Nope…Not gunna happen." "Just admit it Archimedes!" laughed the young man, in his early twenties. His hair was a sleek chocolate brown and his eyes were crystal blue – We'll just make it simple: he was god-like in his appearance. "Stop laughing!" Archimedes grumbled. "Besides," He continued, a sly grin creeping across his dark face. "You know as well as I do that Cindra hasn't phoned you back since that date you took her on!" a small giggle danced around the empty room. "Who was that?" Archimedes whispered, frightened. "You, your little girly giggle, you half African lizard!" The man laughed again. Archimedes shook off this insult of his lizard ancestors and sarcastically said "You forgot half-man too!" Then man and Lizard Man laughed loudly. Too loudly…

"BOYS!" A grumpy looking tall, slim old man marched into the room. "Shouldn't you two be getting on with your work!?" He scolded "Yes professor..." answered the man. "Yes dad- I mean, professor…"Archimedes echoed his friend's gloomy tone. "If you call watching repeats of Top Gear on BBC i player work!" then, as if out of nowhere, girl with incredibly dark brown hair walked out of the doorway. Lythia.

"Lythia?" whispered the professor. "What on god's earth are you doing here?" He continued.

"Weren't you supposed to be on that trip to Kulaks?" Archimedes questioned her, suspicion hinted in his rusty voice.

"i got kicked out." she shrugged.

"Why?" the professor sighed. His adopted daughter had been born a natural rebel. In and Out of trouble since the day she had came (Mistakedly) into his,the polices',the local school's and everyone else's her loved her despite this, and felt compelled to put up with her outrageous antics, bad behaviour, and ASBO.

"I can't say but ill tell you...Soon..." Lythia then made her way to the under tunnel. there to stop her, however was Archimede's workmate.

"Zeppelin, could you move please..." She asked awkwardly, Looking into his now bloodshot red eyes. "lythia he said quietly, almost angrily.

"Zeppelin...please..."Lythia replied weakly. the professor was shocked at this. usually Zeppelin was quiet, thoughtful and was Rebelouis and loud." Archimede's thoughts were likewise.

Minutes ticked awkward and eerie silence was horrible for everyone present. Then, Zeppelin slipped to the side and Lythia crept down the stairs.

"I'll be in the fifth study..." Zeppelin sadly mumbled, his eyes now a sad charcoal black.

"Remeber when those two atully got on?" Archimedes turned to face his farther.

"You mean a few months ago when they were in love?" the professor anwsered his qestion with a qestion then sadly continued "Yes i do..."

Later, that evening Lythia finally appeared. "Professor?" She asked. The professor was sat in front of th log fire, his head in his hands. Solitary on the deep oak coffe table was a yellowed piece of paper. the professor looked up at Lythia's innocent, almost angelic face. then he opened his mouth to tell her a life changing secret that he hadn't been planning to tel her.
