A/N: (This happens a couple of years before the events in DR2.) Just a cute idea I came up with. R&R please!

"Goodnight, young master." Peko smiled fondly as she started up the stairs. The aforementioned yakuza nodded a little, and turned to follow her, when out of nowhere...

Sudden darkness. Completely and utterly void of light. You know what else came with that darkness? Panic, that's what.

Peko had barely made it up the first few steps when a blur of dark clothing darted past her, making loud thumping noises as it reached the upper floor. Somewhat concerned and overall frazzled, she followed the blur only to find Fuyuhiko sitting on the couch, acting as if he had been there the whole time. Nobody else could've done it but him. The two stared at each other awkwardly. Finally a genius (terrible) idea struck the swordswoman.

"...Young master...did you happen to see-"

"See what? I've been up here for a while!"

Peko tried her hardest not to smile. "...By any chance...are you..."

"What?! Am I what?"

"...Scared of the dark...?"

Told you guys. Horrible idea. Next thing she knew, Peko was being pinned against the wall, staring (down) at a furious Fuyuhiko.

"W-What?! There's gotta be something wrong with you! Moron, how could I be scared of the dark?!"

"My apologies, but-"

"But nothing! I am absolutely not scared of the dark, got that?!" Fuyuhiko's eye twitched a little.

For a moment, the idea to tease him a little bit flashed in Peko's head, but was rejected as soon as it came.

"...Understood. Forgive me, young master."

Fuyuhiko turned away angrily, and made his way to his room, growling under his breath. Peko stood there for a moment, trying to remember what she was doing in the first place. Finally, she went to her room, and fell asleep with one last thought.

He is definitely afraid of the dark.
