Demigods and Disco
"Is there anything fun to do around here?" Leo asked as he, Jason, Piper and the others sat bored in the sword arena.
"What?" Percy asked. "You don't count killing monsters and risking your life fun?" He smiled.
Leo rolled his eyes.
"I don't care what we do," Annabeth said as she held Percy's hand, "as long as I'm with Seaweed Brain here." She teased him by rubbing his hair.
"H-hey!" Percy complained, still smiling. He missed Annabeth to death. "Just because I'm back that doesn't mean you can abuse me some more."
"I disagree." Annabeth said with a laugh.
"Get a room." Leo muttered.
Percy and Annabeth both smiled, their foreheads touching. They all sat on the floor of the sword arena during their free time.
"Sure there's something to do," Jason said, trying to be optimistic of their situation.
"Like what?" Piper asked.
"Hey guys!"
They all looked up to find Grover walking in, carrying something.
"What is that?" Percy asked.
"I think it's an old radio," Grover answered. "I found it."
"Sweet!" Leo said. "We can listen to some tunes!"
"Does it still work?" Jason asked.
"Not sure. Let's see." Grover sat the radio down on a table littered with swords and ruined Greek practicing dummies. Everyone walked up to it.
"It looks ancient." Leo said, sounding disappointed.
"Sure you could fix it," Piper said.
"Well let's turn it on first." Grover said.
Grover's tongue stuck out as he messed with the knobs and buttons. They all groaned, not hearing any music.
"Drats." Grover muttered, smacking the radio.
"Hold on," Leo said. "Let Leo here work his magic." He flexed his fingers, causing his friends to roll their eyes. He took out a screw driver from his magic tool belt and began his work. He lifted the radio, inspecting it as his friends watched in silence.
Leo unscrewed the back where the wires would be. He snorted. "No problem. This is easy. I'll have this fixed sooner then you can say 'Leo rules'."
No one said anything. He looked up.
"What?" Jason said.
Leo cleared his throat.
Piper rolled here eyes. "Leo you rule." she said sarcastically.
"Thank you." Leo replied before he looked back at the wires. "Oh I see the problem."
"What?" Grover asked.
"No use explaining," Leo replied.
After several minutes of silence, Leo said, "Ha!" and seconds later, the gang heard some sweet tunes coming from the radio.
"Leo you're a genius!" Piper said, truly impressed.
Jason cocked his head. "Is that…Earth, Wind and Fire?"
Grover gasped. "I love this song! Juniper and I listen to it all the time!"
He turned the knob to make the volume go higher then he went to walked a few feet and began to dance.
The other laughed.
"Go Grover!" Annabeth cheered.
"Come on Wise Girl," Percy said, looking at her. "Show us some of your moves."
"What?"
"You heard me."
"You first."
"At the same time."
"Deal!"
The couple laughed as they walked over to Grover and began to groove to "September" by Earth, Wind and Fire AKA the best damn disco band ever.
"Care to dance?" Jason asked as he held a hand out to Piper.
She crossed her arms with her back to him, wearing a smile. "Maybe…"
Jason laughed. "You know you want to."
"How?"
"Your foot is tapping."
"No it's-" Piper looked down to see that Jason was right. "Oh fine. Come on Lighting Boy before I change my mine."
They both shared a laugh as they shared the floor with the others.
"Watch it Leo style!" Leo said as he did his best to dance, moving his hips back and forth; his arms up and down.
The others laughed; from Leo and just having a great time, enjoying the tunes.
The End…?
