Before we begin, I would like to remind you all that this is 4 years into the future, and it is in Sarah's POV. Ok, you may continue….
It had been years since I had spoken to any of the people in the cul-de-sac, all except Jimmy. Probably because of me switching schools and all that, but through all that trouble me and Jimmy still seemed to keep hold our friendship.
I sat down on the sidewalk and glanced around at everyone's houses, because no one seemed to be outside. For over 3 years, my social life has gone down the drain. I don't talk to anyone except for Jimmy and my other friend at my new school, Paige, who isn't the most talkative person you've ever met, if you know what I mean. My head slowly drooped down to my feet as the thoughts of my life roamed through my head.
"Hey!" My head snapped up from the sudden call and I came to see Naz standing in front of me, wearing her usual black and white outfit. "I noticed we haven't talked in a while," she said, very cool and calm. "You look pretty bummed. What's wrong?" She sat down next to me, and put her hand on her cheek, as if to show she was listening.
Naz looked a lot different than she did about 4 years ago. Her golden hair had grown out to around her shoulder, and her face had matured a bit more. She seemed to still be the prettiest girl in the cul-de-sac, and every boy's dream, while I seemed to still be just the same as before, although my hair came down a bit longer.
I sighed and looked over to Naz who was still smiling and ready to listen. "I'm not sure what happened. I feel as though I've been pushed out of the cul-de-sac ever since I changed schools. I haven't talked much to anyone, really," I said in a toneless voice, "I never intended for this to happen, really. I wish I could be in the same school as everyone." I paused, waiting for her answer.
We both fell in silence, and I guessed that it was because she had no clue what it was like to be alone, because she had always had someone there. "That sounds bad. When I was new here, I felt like that, too. What I did was made a friend, and they had friends, who had friends, who had friends, who had friends. Do you see what I'm saying here? If you make 1 friend, all of their friends will be your friend," she said, as if a mini Dr. Phil was bottled inside of her brain.
Our eyes locked on to each other for a few seconds, until I finally turned away. "I see what you're saying, it's just, I seem a little anti social. I'm not really sure how to make friends. I'm not the best on that subject," I nervously laughed at what I had just said. "Plus," I added, "No one wants to be my friend."
She looked at me compassionately, and said, "Don't you like someone or something? If you hang with them, they'll help you become more social with other people." I eyed her, trying to see anything suspicious in her eye. She seemed to just be suggesting something, not really hinting I had a crush on anyone. I was glad she was being a true friend with me like that.
"Hey, Naz," a loud, deep voice called. Both our eyes turned to Kevin, who was coming towards Naz on his new bike.
"Oh, hey Kevin," Naz said calmly. She turned over to me, and said that we should talk more often. Kevin and Naz walked away, so I decided to head back inside, too.
I opened the door, and walked up the stairs slowly. I came to my room, and plopped down on my bed; arms and legs sprawled all over.
Someone I like, huh? I looked out the window to see Ed, Edd, and Eddy standing outside the hallway, although my eyes were directed to Edd. I guess that could be arranged…
To Be Continued…
Author's Notes: Ok, that was really fun. I might not continue the story; although it's based on the reviews you give me. I'll decide in about a week. Tell me what you think!!
