The seventeenth day of pink…

Tamao ran around the Funbari Onsen franticly, trying to get it cleaned up before Yoh arrived home. She didn't want the person she admired the most to return to a dirty home.

"Oh, this would have been done faster if Ponchi and Conchi were helping," whimpered the pink-haired child as she continued sweeping. The two animal spirits decided to ditch their master for the day, much to Tamao's chagrin.

"Oi, anybody home?" called out a voice.

"Y-Yoh-sama!" squeaked Tamao, her face turning bright red. Putting the broom down, she went to greet Yoh. "W-Welcome home, You-sama!"

The older boy gave his signature easygoing grin. "Hi, Tamao. How's everything going?"

"Everything is g-going well. I cleaned the onsen for you!"

"Ah, you didn't have to do that," replied Yoh with a laugh. He then patted the girl on the head. "But thanks anyway."

Tamao's blush became brighter at Yoh's praise. She looked down at her feet in shyness. "Y-You're welcome, Yoh-sama."

You gave the shy girl another grin. "So, is anyone else here?"

"N-No. You're the first one to return, Yoh-sama."

"Aw man, I was hoping we could have had some fun," stated Yoh with a sigh of disappointment. His disappointment was short-lived though. "Hey, Tamao! How 'bout you take a break for a bit?"

"N-Nani?"

"Yeah, take a break for a bit and listen to some music CDs with me," explained Yoh with a smile.

For a brief moment, Tamao thought she was dreaming. Getting to spend time with Yoh was a dream come true for the shy little shaman and she didn't want to pass up on the opportunity.

"Of c-course, Yoh-sama!"

"Great!" exclaimed Yoh as he wrapped his arm around Tamao's shoulders in a friendly hug.

"Eep!" squeaked Tamao, her face resembling a cherry now. Being this close to Yoh set her heart into overdrive to the point that she froze on the spot.

"Tamao?" questioned Yoh, waving his hand in front of her face to get attention. Unsure of what happened, Yoh just shrugged it off and led Tamao to the living area where the stereo was.

Maybe some music will return Tamao to reality.

Shy girls are one of the most adorable things to ever exist and anyone who says differently is a liar.

That being said, what the hell happened to Tamao in Flowers? She went from being this shy little thing to being an Anna clone and while there's nothing wrong with Anna, Tamao was her own character with her own personality and now it's gone. That would be like Hinata becoming exactly like Sakura at the end of Naruto and that's terrible.
