Day # 4 Snowman
It had been a flurry, a snowstorm had hit Bayville and it hadn't seemed like it was going anywhere, anytime soon. School had been closed at Bayville High for the day, so the mutants of the institute were all excited about what the day would bring. Evanna had snuck off of the Institutes property and was making her way to the park. She had spoken with Pietro early in the morning; they had agreed to meet up at the park for a little snow date. This knowledge had put a little spring in her step, things had been on edge between the X-men and the Brotherhood since December had started really. She just wanted a little one on one time with her boyfriend, if that wasn't too much to ask for.
She hurried along to the park, even as snow continued to fall, some of it clinging to her person. As she made it to the park she looked around, was she too early? Maybe he had gotten tired of waiting for her? She was looking around, until there was a pressure on her back and she was pushed into a snowbank. With a cry she rolled over, and found herself looking up at Pietro.
"Pietro, you jerk! What was that for," Evanna snapped as she pushed herself up into a sitting position.
"Just felt like it, slow-mo," Pietro said as he offered Evanna his hand to help her up.
She accepted the hand and moved to give him a shove, but he disappeared from in front of her and appeared behind her again. Bracing herself for another shove into the snow, she didn't expect for him to wrap his arms around her waist. He pulled her closer resting his head on her shoulder. She smiled a little, her eyes closing as she leaned her head against his. It felt like the snow falling was their aid more than a hindrance. Like the snow was a curtain between their little private moment and the rest of the world.
They stayed like that for a few moments before Evanna felt a tremor travel through Pietro. Taking his hand she dragged him up a snow bank. Kneeling in the snow she started to pack snow together, her expression intent as she built up the bottom of two small snow men.
"Slow-mo what are you doing," Pietro asked, his arms crossed as he tried to conserve body heat.
Evanna didn't answer as she finished with the bodies taking out some marbles she had brought along and removing the bracelets she wore. Inserting the marbles for eyes and placing the bracelets atop the snowmen's heads she smiled a little.
"There, it's done. What do you think," Evanna asked as she looked over at him.
"What is it supposed to be," Pietro asked, his expression a bit confused.
Evanna made a face at him. He always picked on her for her artistic abilities or lack of rather. He thought she was alright at least. She looked down at the little snowmen she had made.
"Their angels, remember my mom taught us how to make them? If you make an angel, and have it facing east then you're wish will be heard and granted remember," Evanna asked as she looked down at them.
They were rough, and the wings were a little more like stumps but the basic shape was there and with the halos and the blue eyes they were enough to be recognized maybe. She just had one wish really. She looked over at Pietro and gave his hand a squeeze.
'I wish I had the courage to tell everyone about Pietro and me,' Evanna thought.
