I do not own anything that is part of or that is related to The Hunger Games trilogy series. I just own my ideas and characters that are not from that series.
This is my ninth Fan fiction and my first Fan fiction about The Hunger Games series. I hope you like it. Enjoy!
In this scenario, a girl in District 4 volunteers to be a tribute to take one of the champions place. Now, she has to face off competitive and vicious rivals and try to befriend "The Girl on Fire". But, she has something that gives her the upper hand. She knows what she is in store for; she knows what the future will bring because of her psychic powers.
The Mysterious Tribute:
The Golden Key
Before the Story
"I volunteer as tribute!"
Those words always inspired me in a way. Never did I imagine that I would say those words too. It seemed so long ago that I said those words. Now, I pay the price. I am lying in a puddle of my own blood. Cuts, bruises, and scraps fill me arms. A knife is pierced into my left leg. You can say that I am in a pretty bad situation especially since I am lying on the beach where the ones on it are going to be electrified to death because of the plan I helped make. Such a failure that I will die because if my own plan. I just had to be careless and let that tribute stab me and leave me paralyzed, weak, vulnerable, and exposed. Death will seem to claim me as its victim. Such a loss. I just hope that what I predicted was right about the plan failing and Everdeen ending up shooting an arrow instead.
Sometimes I consider having psychic powers a blessing and a curse. In this case, it's somewhat of both. I might die, but Katniss lives another day. If miraculously I live, I would most likely get captured and forced to use my powers to help Snow. Possibly that is his plan. Probably I am his "Golden Key" to his success in his plans...no! I am not doubting it any longer! I AM the Golden Key to it all. I can predict the future. I just need to choose what side I am on! Luckily, I have already chosen. I have made the right choice to side with the good. I am most definitely NOT on Snow's side. That bastard better meet his end like I have foreseen. If not...it's too horrible of a fate to think about.
I see the lightning form in the dark night sky. I sigh and feel the blood trickle down my face, to my arms, and in my long hair. I glance back at the lightning as it is about to strike down.
Fate may not give me a second chance to live.
