Some Sweetness Going Around is a collection of drabbles, which are by definition one hundred (100) words in length precisely: no more, no less. I didn't want to fold these in with the vignettes of Blue Skies and Sunshine, because vignettes and drabbles really aren't the same thing, so: here they are on their own.
This is set before the main portion of the film, when Tiana and Charlotte are still children.
Fairy Tale Dreams
In that green, shaded place beneath the magnolia trees and by the water, Tiana and Charlotte drew out their dreams.
"When I'm a princess, I'm gonna wear a different dress every hour."
"Where are you gonna keep all those dresses?"
Charlotte flounced her skirts. Loftily she said, "In a closet."
Tiana watched the river ripple with the wind, whispering.
"When my daddy gets back from fighting the Boche," she said, "we're gonna open our restaurant. And everyone's gonna come, from all over."
Charlotte plopped down beside Tiana. Her skirts puffed like a cake around her.
"I'll come, too," she said.
