I walked into the room to be immediately surrounded by soldier boys trying to make sweet conversation. I watched my youngest sister Margarita try to convince my shy other sister Elizabeth to talk to some people. I was swept into the center of the room and could not see much. Someone asked me to dance. He was kind of cute, but I had more important things to worry about, so I politely declined. I danced my way back to the side of the ballroom to talk to my sisters.

"Angelica, why did you come over here?" Eliza looked upset at all the attention she was getting. She doesn't like attention.

"It's not fun if you and Peggy aren't there with me!" I said, protesting her absence from the dance floor. She fidgeted nervously.

"You know that dancing isn't really my thing..." She glanced at her feet and the green heels she was wearing. I picked out her outfit. She loved parties but she was really shy with people she didn't know. Father thought this party would be good for us to go to, but Eliza had protested going from the second it was brought up. So, naturally Peggy and I chose her outfit and did her makeup and father spent a week convincing her to come.

"Ooh," Eliza exclaimed. "Who's that hottie?" I looked over my shoulder at the door.
