Soul of a Liar by: L P
Potter's Field is filled with liars,
Lying in low lying graves.
And liars lie in wait,
Waiting to lie to their next victim.
And victims lie spread out before a world of lies
Lying to them their whole lives
You're not good enough
You're not strong enough
Lies
You're not smart enough
You're not pretty enough
Lies
For if we ever believe them then we're just lying to ourselves
Because we lie to ourselves when we say we are not lying to ourselves
Lies!
And a liar lives a life of lies
And as he lies there not wanting to lie
He comes up with new lies
That only beget new lies
Lies take over our lives
And then he can only lie in wait to lie
For in his soul he can no longer see the lies
Only the lives he's ruined with his life of lies
And there he comes upon a child
And in his eyes he sees no lies
Only a life waiting to know a world
A world that he knows will teach him lies
And how to lie
So he lies down hoping that that child can realize
That it's all lies
Before its too late and he ruins more lives
And so he begins to remember a time without lies
Where in his eyes a man once saw no lies
And then he realized as he lie there on the street
That in his soul he knows we're all liars
And liars lie
