Title: Remembrance: A Visit

Pairing: Severus/Harry (Only hinted, not too much physical contact)

Story Type: Drabble

Disclaimer:I do not any of the characters or settings of the Harry Potter series. They belong to the most wonderful JK Rowling.

Severus hasn't ever been here, not even since she died, though he entertained the idea for awhile. He had thought that maybe in death, she would forgive him of his prejudice towards her also now late husband. He never made it that far though. And now, he is here only for his love, to support him.

Harry is hugging him close, but not crying, not yet. He is only surveying the remnants of his parents' home-because it had never truly been his, and never could now. He thinks about the wanting he felt for love; the hole in his heart where parents were supposed to reside. He can never feel it now, with his real parents dead, and the only other father figures he had dead also.

Severus can tell Harry is near in tears, so he strokes his lover's hair soothingly, hoping to appease the torrent before it came. Still, the younger begins to sob; heart wrenching moans coming from his lips that tell the tale of tortured soul just trying to gain a purpose again, to fill a void.

Harry's sobs send Severus crying too, but he is silently, letting salty liquid pour down his cheeks. Harry lost his mother and father, while Severus lost the most important person to him at the time. They both feel pain clenching in their chests, weighing down their shoulders.

Not long passes before they stop. Harry looks up, wiping away stray tears on his former Potions professor's pale cheeks. Severus does the same to his younger counterpart, and leans down, placing a soft kiss on willing lips.

"Let's pay our respects.." Harry murmurs, and Severus yields to the suggestion, straightening up as he takes his husband's hand. They walk down the path, towards two specially marked graves, knowing that their visit was the right thing to do at the right time.
