"Jacob" she said scolding but giggling as his nose grazed her jaw line. "I really can't stay."
"Baby, it's cold outside." He said holding her waist.
"Jacob, I gotta go away. This evening has been-"
"Been hoping that you'd drop in-"
"So very nice."
"Bella, your hands are ice."
"My mother will start to worry."
"What's your hurry?" He whispered in her ear.
"My father will be pacing the floor. And you know Charlie. How he gets"
"Bella, listen to the fire place roar." He looked in her eyes with longing
"Now really I'd better scurry"
"What's your hurry?" he said and got up and got her some egg-nog,
"Well maybe just a half a drink more." When he sat down, she said, "What will your neighbors think?"
"Bella it's bad out there."
"Hey what's in the drink?" She says getting cozy on the couch. "Wish I knew how to break this spell." She thought as he gently kissed her neck. "I outta say no no no sir" she whispered
"Mind if I move in closer." He whispers in her ear. Then kisses her gently, nearly taking her breath away.
"At least I'm gonna say that I tried." She thought as she began to pull away.
"What's the sense in hurting my pride?"
"Jacob, I really can't stay." She takes a look outside and both say, "But it's so cold outside."
"No, I simply must go." She says getting to her feet.
"Bella, Its cold outside."
"The answer is no. This welcome has been-"
"So lucky you dropped in-" he laughed.
"So nice and warm." she finished.
"Look at the storm." Jacob said
"Alice will be suspicious. She can't see me. She'll worry like crazy." But she stopped putting on her coat still staring outside. He smiled.
"Stay just a little bit longer."
"Edward will be there at the door. I gotta go home."
"You'll freeze to the bone out there."
"Lend me your coat?"
"It's up to your knees out there."
"But don't you see."
"How can you do this thing to me?"
"There's bound to be talk tomorrow." He kissed her. "At least there'll be plenty implied, trying to make her way to the door.
"If you caught pneumonia and died." He said
She stopped. "I really can't stay."
"Get over that old lie." He said taking off her coat for her. "Baby its cold outside."
"It is kinda chilly." She smiled taking his hands as he led her to the couch.
"Just stay right here. You don't gotta be nowhere" He wrapped his arms around her. She snuggled close.
"Alright" she sighed. "You win." She laughed. "But what about Billie?"
He laughed, "We have the place to ourselves tonight."
"You had this all planned didn't you."
"No, the weather just did it's job."
