1. Turned to Reese just as soon as news broke, "I did say fruit was important."

2. Drove to his orange grove to check on his produce only to find the grove was as empty and barren as the others. He sat on the soft grass, let the sun shine on his back. He did not hear the sound of birds or whisper of the wind, nor did he move even though the skin on his neck burned.

Not until a shadow loomed over him and eased some of the pain. He looked up to see the mirrored glasses of his partner.

"I am not attached to my oranges."

Reese didn't respond, her hair was messier than usual and there were stains on her faded pink shirt. Her leather jacket was still amazingly intact.

"It's the end of the world as we know it," he sang, "and I feel fine."

She turned her hand towards him and he took it. Reese pulled him up without seeming effort. "Ready?"

"Yeah."

Charlie didn't glance back as they walked away.

3. Move to the beach and start experimenting on hydro farming. He ordered Ted to buy him a small research facility a few years back, Ted almost choked on his coffee. Constance had smiled fondly over this detail, only Reese outright called him crazy.

It was actually nice to be vindicated.

Water lapped around his ankles and he basked in the sun. Somewhere in the back Ted was teaching Rachel how to set-up the tent.

"Do you actually know how to hydro farm?" Reese asked, squinting at the sea. She still had on her holster and gun despite being in a moderately deserted island.

"Ah." He said.
