This tragedy is unusual, Spectra mused, as she watched life go by her, ignoring people as usual- so long as they ignored her. It had no death yet, but the anticipation was nearly killing me. The wait for drama, the tension built up under the stars- that was a good tragedy. As long as someone died. Preferably with regret. And a lot of pain and hurt and lies.

That was what made Spectra's own tragedy so mystical; it had a teenage girl eternally stuck at 16 dealing with a lot of wild, fearless pain, drinking down her sorrows. It was fresh and new, not even Shakespeare, the master of tragedies in her eye, could have done something like this. It was truly grand.

Her fate had been laid out, written in constellations and strange rituals, and she accepted that fate, because this was her second chance, and it would be so good to end it on a tragedy.

It was surprising, actually, how much what no one could've predicted fit with what had been prophesised.

Yet, it toyed with something Spectra had not been expecting: her deepest, darkest emotions.

Her heart.

Where that werecat girl had wormed herself into and stuck, involved in this tragedy that would probably resolve in Spectra passing on, and at least one death, hopefully, yet Toralei's somewhat blissful innocence about the whole situation was endearing. It was like Spectra could forget about everything that she was destined to be and live life like a normal ghost.

But then she was on her own again and the sweet fate came rolling back to her.

Some kind of random drabble thing that I thought up months ago. Revisited it and liked it. So I'm posting.

Yeah.

R&R, lovelies!
