A/N: So, I'm still alive, and instead of Norse Mythology or Star Wars, I'm writing about the Cthulhu Mythos and Shub-Niggurath who is my favourite Great Old One, both for her similarity to the Christian Satan and because she's a mother of literally thousands, as well as being a formidable deity in her own right. So, I think she deserves this poem.

A Rhyme to Shub-Niggurath

Here is an English translation of an ancient litany, adressed to the Black Goat of the Woods by her cultists:

Divine a mother of demons,

Malicious bringer of life,

Mysterious, primal Shub-Niggurath

From where the sky's black at night.

Ia, Shub-Niggurath!

She of the numerous offspring,

Known in the devil's own form,

Mother to many more Old Ones

Than humans ever were born.

Ia, Shub-Niggurath!

Queen of the forests and darkness

Where terrors lurk yet unsung

No goddess worthier of worship

Than Niggurath-Shub and her young.

Ia, Shub-Niggurath!
