Hey guys I've started rewriting this and I hope you like it better.
Alex's POV
"Alex, how are you?" Stefan asked me as I gave him a quick hug.
"I'm good Steffy. Although a little birdy told me you have some major problems." I said with a grin. "Where is Damon?"
"Coming, little sis." called Damon as he walked out from what looked like the library. He opened his arms and I ran into them, showing him how much I missed my favorite brother. No offense meant to Stefan but Damon was my twin, how could he not be my favorite brother.
"I missed you." I said giving him a sad smile.
He grinned at me and said, "Missed you more."
"Of course you did." I replied giving him a wink as we walked into the room he had just come from.
Inside the room were four people. Two girls, one boy and one man. Just from being in the same room as her I knew the caramel skinned one was a powerful witch, I'd have to be nice to her just out of respect. Sadly the next girl was a doppleganger, a doppleganger of Katherine Pierce. The boy was the youngest in the room and I couldn't find anything really impressive about him, just a normal human, teenage boy. The man was cute - that is the first thing I have to say, second, he wasn't supernatural, just a cute man.
"Guys, this is Alex, my twin sister." Damon said, walking over to a table that held a lot of drinks. And when I say a lot I mean a lot.
I opened my mouth to say something but before I could Stefan moved in front of me and said while walking up to the doppleganger, "Alex, you've no doubt already know this is Elena. That's Alaric. And then that's Jeremy and Bonnie."
"It's nice to meet you all." I said.
"You too." Elena said as she gave me a smile.
"Well, this has been fun but I've actually got school tomorrow because of Stefan and I'm afraid even I need my beauty sleep." I told them all with a lazy smile. "Come on Day, you've got to show me to my room like a gentleman."
"Alright," he sighed and walked over to me.
"Wait!" the witch, Bonnie said.
I turned to her and raised my eyebrows. "Yes?"
"You're not a vampire, you're a witch." Bonnie stated, looking confused. "Witches don't have long life, we aren't immortal."
I took a deep breath and rolled my head backwards in annoyance. Why now? "I know. I'm a different type of witch. You'll find out more if we're lucky enough to become friends." I turned around and started walking out. I paused at the doorway to look back at Damon. "Come on, Day."
In the morning I went for a quick shower and then got changed into black skinny jeans, a white blouse, my favorite black leather jacket and a pair of black heeled boots. I brushed my hair and put on some black eyeliner to make my eyes stand out and some red lipstick. I gave myself an evaluating look in my mirror and went downstairs to get some coffee. I heard talking in the hallway so after I got my coffee I went to meet them to see if I could catch a lift of them to school.
"Hi guys," I said with a smile that dropped as I saw the tense hallway that had Elena, Bonnie, Stefan and Damon. I raised my eyebrows and said, "Not to break-up any argument's going on here but does someone mind giving me a lift to the school. I don't know where it is."
"What is it with girls and school?" Damon groaned as he tilted his head to the ceiling.
"It's where all the hot boys hang out Damon." I replied with a roll of my eyes.
"You can get a ride with me and Bonnie if you want, Alex." Elena said softly.
"Thanks." I told her with a smile, she smiled back and we started walking to the door until we heard Stefan say, "Wait, wait, I'll come with you just let me get my bag."
I did not want to know what the argument had been about.
To say I was bored would be a serious understatement. I hated this school already. For starters everyone was way too friendly, offering to show me around the school and things. I'd only had one class so far which meant at this rate I was going to have to leave within a week or two just so I could stop coming to school. History was the second class of the day. Ugh, history was a no no - I've seen way too much history.
"Come on, Alex, history really isn't that bad." Bonnie said with a small encouraging smile. "Ric is a really good teacher."
"Yeah, Alaric is no doubt the best teacher in this school." Elena agreed.
"It's not just history." I grumbled with a pout. "It's the whole school, it's eating away at my soul."
Stefan looked thoughtful for a minute and then frowned, "I thought you didn't have a soul."
"Ouch." I said trying to look offended. "That was mean, Steffy, that was really mean."
When we finally made it to history we found Alaric wasn't there yet.
I sat down in front of Elena while Stefan and Bonnie sat on either side of her, I tipped my head back and sighed. Then groaned and moved my head to the side. Then I groaned even longer and tipped my head back again. I heard Elena, Bonnie and Stefan laugh behind me and my mouth curled upwards in response against my own will.
A few moments later Alaric walked into the room and Elena kicked my chair. I looked behind me to see her holding up a 60's dance poster and she had a questioning look on her face. I smiled widley and gave her two thumbs up
, she gave a soft laugh and then gave Stefan a raised eyebrow look as if to ask 'Got-Anything-To-Say-About-That?'. Sadly, Stefan wasn't looking at her instead he was now glaring at me as if the 60's dance was all my fault.
I shrugged my shoulders at him and gave an innocent smile. I said almost silently to him, "What?"
He just carried on glaring so I looked forward again with a small smile.
"Well then, what are we learning today?" Alaric said in an amused tone as if he had no idea what we were doing. It was fine though 'cause he still looked cute, that would be enough for now.
A girl in the very front of the class decided to speak up. She's introduced herself to me earlier. I think her name was Dina or Diana or something. "With the decade's dance tonight we've been covering the sixties."
"Right, the sixties." He said sounding disapointed. I wasn't to bothered but I the 20's were much better than the 60's in my opinion. "The, um, sixties ... I honestly wish there was something good I could say about the sixties, but it actually kind of sucked. Except for The Beatles of course. They made it kind of bearable. The sixties ... the cuban missile thing - um - we walked on the moon. There was Watergate."
"Watergate was in the seventies, Saltzman." I corrected him loudly in a bored voice. Alaric smiled sadly and then shook his head. Hey! Why do I get a sad smile?
"Right, sorry, it all kind of mushes up in here. Sixties, seventies, thank you Alexandria." He said as he as he turned back to the board. I stiffen a little at the use of my full name but then relaxed almost instantly. I hated that name. I decided to tune out for the rest of the lesson and I only came back to reality when the bell rang. Lunch next, mmm. Was I hungry or what?
Or what.
Me, Stefan and Elena went to the table that Bonnie and Jeremy were sitting on. Jeremey stormed off before we got to the table though.
"What's up with Jeremy?" Elena asked Bonnie as she sat down and watched her brother walk off.
"I - uh - just told him that he has to dress up tonight." Bonnie said with a tight smile.
And then the girl that had first answered in History came up to our table. Maybe I would now learn her name.
"Hey, Elena. Okay. This is going to sound really freaky, but this totally hot guy just asked me to ask you if you're going to the dance tonight." She gushed in an over excited voice.
I snorted into my hand and received a glare off Stefan. Still laughing quietly, I whispered, "Sorry."
Bonnie told her, "Tell him she has a boyfriend, Dana."
So Dana was her name, it was a weird name, but I like the name Pocahontas so I couldn't really judge.
"You could at least meet him!" Dana encouraged. "He'll be at the dance tonight. Look for him. His names Klaus."
Klaus. Klaus as in the Klaus that wanted to use Elena as a sacrifice in a dodgy witch spell. This day just got a whole lot more interesting. Elena and Bonnie went pale at hearing Klaus's name while Stefan just looked shocked. Really, really shocked.
Bonnie asked in a disbelieving voice, "Sorry, what did you say?"
"His name's Klaus." Dana repeated with an oblivious smile. "I know the name's a bit stupid but I swear he's hot." She gushed. God, why was she gushing?
"Where is he? Is he here?" Stefan asked, looking all around the cafeteria.
"I don't know." She said in a blank voice with a matching blank face.
"She's being compelled, Stefan." I said, taking a bit of my apple.
"Oh and he want's to know if you'll save him a dance. How cute is that?" Dana squealed with a bright smile.
