Hello! Today marks a new beginning for me and I was very much inspired to begin this story, although, this journey began long ago.

Chapter One: Undeniable Spark
Today began as a normal day for me, but did it end that way? Certainly not.
I awoke startled as something ticklish brushed past my nose. Perhaps previous events left me with my guard constantly up, so I was much more of a skittish individual than usual. However, that appeared to be nothing but an invitation to the soft creature that continued to press their fluffy body against my face. With a quick jolt I sprung up and allowed myself to slip out of bed where a rough thump erupted as both I and the sheets collapsed in a pooling mess of exhaustion and confusion. Several minutes passed before I managed to roll my body across the floor while sprawling out with an irritated look forming on my once soft features,
"Too early.." I mumbled helplessly. Those were the only distressed words I could manage to roll off of my tongue,
"Perhaps last night was a bad idea." another voice broke into the air with an obviously 'I told you so' attitude. This voice was soft but didn't shy away from expressing apparent annoyance. My gentle green eyes hardened into thought and confusion as they circled the room searching for the small figure that sat perched upon the barren bed I once laid comfortable in. I huffed and rolled over onto my side momentary until I decided to lift my body from the suddenly comfortable floor and stumbled into the bathroom that was minimal steps away. The small figure followed. With swift movements I undressed and ran a bath, steam quickly overcoming the room. Once seated in the tub I rested my feet on the tub, my face settled in a fixed look of deep thinking,
"Do you want to talk about it? You've been much too quiet.." the voice spoke again. I shifted my eyes to fixate on the petite figure sitting before me with a look of interest displayed on her face. Quickly I analyzed her body language, her small fluffy frame sat about a foot away from the tub. Her legs were neatly tucked as she flicked her ears a once annoyed expression had softened into something more concerning,
"You're oddly concerned for a cat, wouldn't you say?" I teased with a playful roll of my eyes before resting my elbow on the edge of the tub with my face gently resting in my hand. I knew without a doubt the joke would ease the mood, for me anyways. However, it was surely a quick way to get on the nerves of my furry friend. She was not a cat. She was in fact a magical species that was a much more evolved breed of feline. Her long brown and white patterned coat along with a pair of ears and tail easily led many to believe otherwise. However, the golden gems that rested between her eyes and along her back emitted magical energy that provided her several interesting abilities,
"A cat? If anything you're more of one than me." She snorted, quickly snapping me out of my thoughts before swishing her tail furiously as her ears sat flat onto her head. It was obvious she was referring to the pair of fluffy brown ears and tail I sported. Make no mistake, those were the only cat-like features I possessed. I was very much human,
"It was just a dream-" I began,
"A dream for someone with your ability is nothing to ignore!" The cat-like creature hissed, swiftly cutting my sentence short with her sharp tongue. I huffed loudly before pulling my body limply out of the tub, I was no longer relaxed, I was frustrated. Mini, the creature that stood before my naked body without blinking an eye took the signal of my frustration and dealt me a stern look as she signaled her leave before exiting obnoxiously. With silence moving into the steaming room I made my way over to the sink where a golden lined mirror rested on the wall. My eyes meeting the bare body that stood before me. I could only continue to tell myself it was just a dream. But was it? I thought nervously. The man I saw, he had a certain fire in his eyes that made my entire body shudder. I felt paralyzed, but it wasn't fear. No, it was something else. A feeling I didn't understand. It made my limbs weak just thinking about it, with ease I gripped the sink while peering into the mirror one more time. Chest heavy.
Finally, after taking a hold of the thoughts that attempted to wrap me up, I walked towards my closet in the other room. There lay an outfit I had picked the night before, it made things much easier in the morning. With slow motions I covered my undeniable nakedness with a short black skirt that lay just above mid-thigh with a matching pair of white thigh high socks, a tight white top that had a heart shaped piece of fabric missing in the middle, it did nothing to hide my bust that almost spilled out. Then, to top it off I paired it with a pair of simple black and white shoes. I was set for the day,
"Mini." I said softly, my mood easing as the dream began to slip into what seemed like an entirely other world. The small creature shifted her body before leaping to perch herself on my shoulders as I exited my cozy little apartment building.
We emerged into the town of Kyoto. There was a simple mission we had to accomplish, catch a bandit. That was nothing short of an average day for us. You see, we're what you refer to as wizards. Magic is something that many in this world and several others are gifted. Each is unique to the user, some is passed through families like a genetic while others become the first in their line to inherit the gene. I am the perfect example of the first in my line. You could say it's pretty magical. I was born without my feline features and very much magic less. However, over the years I began to develop these features and experience powers without someone to help me control them. They began as dreams, which later turned into reality. Soon enough I was gifted what I refer to as The Power of the Stars. It was exotic when you looked at the long line of magic less members in my ancestry. It was like I was an endangered species, or an alien. I felt like an outcast.
That was until I met him.
Today was when my world fell apart. But it was also the day he helped me repair it,
"If I'm correct the bandit should be hiding out here," Mini stated with a swish of her tail. See, we take missions with similar tasks all across the world for whatever change can be spared. Wizards are becoming more and more uncommon, therefore, jobs become sparse with technology rising to the task. However, I believe there are many things technology can't do that magic can,
"Got it." I replied with a quick nod while Mini leapt from my shoulders and allowed me to use move more cautiously. A large red rustic building stood before us, it appeared abandoned with windows smashed in, holes dented into it and the building just all around looking like it could use some major touching up, "Wait here, I'm getting a closer look." I finished while already pacing towards the suspicious building. Every on my hairs stood on end, something feels off, familiar almost I thought oddly.
Then, I saw it! A shadow moved across the left side of the building by the rooftop. Instinctively and with ease I ran towards the movement until I got close enough to jump up towards the roof in one swift movement. Due to my agility I was able to land smoothly my left hand on the ground as well as both feet just to ensure I landed without failure. However, my reaction time was not quick enough. One quick movement had me landing back against the wall before I blacked out. Although, to my dismay before it all went dark.. I managed to catch a bright light. The spark before me was undeniably bright as it attached itself to a fist swinging forth towards another. It was the spark that began it all and it was attached to him.
