Just watched this YouTube video that really made me ship Jackunzel. I've honestly never shipped them because Rapunzel and Flynn were just so adorable together, but this was horrible to my feels so I'm going to toss this up and maybe make a few of you cry. Let's just see how this goes.
Flames shall be used to heat my magical hot cocoa which I shall then drink and laugh at how you think you're better than me.
Pitch had Rapunzel in Antarctica. It pained Jack to see the gag in her mouth. She screamed at him to run, to flee as long as he got away she'd be okay.
"Let her go Pitch!"
"The staff! Hand it over and I'll let her go."
Jack hesitated, but hearing Rapunzel's protests he abruptly gave it to Pitch. "Now, let her go."
"No." he snarled then he snapped the staff in half. Blood blossomed across Jack's stomach and he could feel himself falling back into the snow.
Rapunzel had somehow gotten the cloth out of her mouth. "Let me heal him! Please. Let me heal him."
"Why? Why do you care?" he sneered.
"I will never run. My hair will be yours. Just let me heal him." she begged, sobs choking her. "I promise."
"No. Rapunzel." Jack gasped.
"Act quickly little lady." Pitch untied the girl and watched as she crawled through the snow to get to Jack.
"Everything is going to be okay. I promise."
"Please don't Rapunzel. You're so much more than me."
"Hey, hey. Sh... It's okay to be okay. I promise. It's okay to be okay." she bent her head over him and began to sing. "Flower Gleam and Glow, let your power shine. Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine. Heal what has been hurt change the Fates' design. Save what has been lost bring back what once was mine. What once was mine." she held out the last note as the golden glow in her hair faded.
Jack felt the strength return to him and he opened his eyes to see her familiar green eyes staring back at him. "Punz..." he murmured with a gentle smile his hand going up to her cheek. "Why did you do that?"
"You were my new dream." she said as tears slid down her cheeks.
"You were my only dream." he responded.
A sob choked her as she stared into his eyes. She truly loved him, the winter spirit. He brought the cold but also the fun. He saw so much fun in the smallest of things like snow. He saw so many opportunities in the snow and the children needed him, they didn't need her.
Suddenly shadows convened around her and began pulling her in. "Jack!" she screamed.
"Rapunzel!" he tried to pull her out, Pitch's laughter echoing in his ears.
"Don't let go!" she sobbed.
"Never." he replied with a particularly strong pull that made his grip slip just a little, but she noticed.
"Jack!"
"I'll find you."
"You said you wouldn't let go."
"I can't keep holding on. Please Punz. I will find you. Anywhere and everywhere he takes you I will be there. I will find you. Always."
She nodded and closed her eyes. "Okay."
"Believe in me Punz." he kissed her.
"Always." she murmured against his lips.
The shadows pulled her down and then she was gone. Jack sat there sobbing alone in the snow with no way of getting away. Rapunzel was gone and he had no idea where she was. He was well and truly alone.
So, any feels? Should I continue this? I don't think I did a very good job with them... :/
Have a wonderful day/night.
