Golden you fly

One of so few

To Where are you going, O wise one of Krynn?

To Where are you going, O bold dragon-kin?

Scales glittering

Breath all aflame

To Where are you going, with figure so grand?

To Where are you flying, to what far-off land?

Eyes bright as jewels

Wings stretching far

To Where are you going, O kind, gentle being?

To Where are you flying, O wise and all-seeing?

This question I posed

In six lyrical forms

Up to the dragon

On that bright summer morn

Then I set them to paper

And I tucked them away

In the hope of remem'bring

That warm, cloudless day

And the great Golden Dragon

That answered me not

Now, where was it going?

There's some food for thought!

-Suren Do'urden

A/N: Some of you Forgotten Realms nuts out there may be wondering: Why, exactly, is a Do'urden in Krynn? And who's Suren (Soo-Ren)? These and other questions will be answered in an upcoming series of fics and poem/songs. Please R&R, comments, edits, and suggestions as well as praises, pointless things and crazed ramblings are all welcome.
