"Farther! Farther!" Wednesday ran in screaming. Gomez jumped up out of his skin, "what is it? What is it?" He looked at his worried 11-year-old daughter. "Its-Its mother!" She finally stuttered out. Gomez was already boiling, no one hurt his love, he'd kill for her, and he would die for her. "Wednesday, where is she? Who has her?" He asked desperate for answers. "She was at the end of the Whiskers Cemetery, some guy just grabbed her. I ran I should have done something its all my fault," She cried. "No, no, no. It is not your fault, at least your safe dear." He reassured her. Gomez grabbed his coat and darted out of the door.

He ran, and ran. He couldn't believe someone would even dare to hurt his beloved. He reached the front of the Whiskers Cemetery and called her name. "Morticia! Morticia!" He yelled. No answer. Please he begged, let her be all right. He ran through the rest of the cemetery. He found and heard nothing.

Gomez finally slowed down by the end of the cemetery. He sat on a bench and began to weep. "Oh cara mia, oh Tish. " "Tish I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry I ever let any harm come to you, I have failed at being a husband, I'm so sorry" He began to bawl. That when he heard a scuffing coming from inside a hole in a large willow tree. He got up and rubbed his eyes off on his striped suit. He walked over to the hole cautiously; he poked his head into the hole and his eyes widened.

His eyes welled up with tears. Inside the hole were Morticia's dress, head veil and her wedding ring. He held the ring and the head veil to his face and cried. "Morticia, I am so sorry." Under all the clothes was a note.

Gomez opened the note and lit a match to read it. The note read, "If you ever want to see your beautiful Morticia again, you will follow my instructions. Meet me here tomorrow, alone. Your wife will then be returned to you, in one piece. Just remember to bring the amount of money that you believe your beloved is worth." Gomez's jaw dropped. This person was going to hurt his wife. He's going to hurt her. He couldn't stand the thought. It drove him to insanity. He must get back Morticia, no matter what the cost.
