Jeff sighed as he looked in the large mirror residing in his bedroom. Nick would be there in 15 minutes, and Jeff still couldn't figure out what he wanted to wear. Currently, he was dressed in a dark blue button-down (blue brought out the colour of his eyes- according to Nicky), black skinny jeans and his signature black hightop Converse. He could never feel confident when it came to Nick. Jeff was always afraid that if he did something wrong, Nick would leave him. He had been best friends with the brunette for most of their lives, but recently Nick had asked the blonde out. Good thing he did, because Jeff never would have had the guts to, being petrified of rejection.
Nick sat in his car outside Jeff's building. He knew about Jeff's insecurities, and whilst Nick felt nervous, he figured that Jeff would be feeling that amount of nervousness times 10. Nick had started to fall for the hyperactive, childlike blonde years ago, at the age of 13 (they were 17 now), but Jeff had only come out to "his Nicky" and everyone else 6 months ago. Nick had waited for the perfect time to ask Jeff to go out with him, but no such time had seemed to come around. Finally, after months of mixed signals coming from Jeff, Nick had taken the plunge and asked Jeff out for dinner. Obviously, Jeff had said yes, as the pair had become even more "sickeningly adorable"- according to Wes and the rest of the Warblers. Klaine had removed themselves from the conversation by that point, afraid that whatever comment made by them would be rebutted with "YOU CAN'T SAY MUCH" by the boys. Wes had already made them a ship name- Niff.
Jeff's door bell rang and he opened the door to find his boyfriend (could he call Nick that yet?), leaning against the wall. He had movies in one hand, (an unmistakeable) Taco Bell bag and chocolates in the other. Nick sported a wide grin on his face.
"You look lovely, Jeffy", Nick complimented the insecure boy quickly, noticing the way Jeff sighed in relief, the weight of his appearance on his shoulders now nonexistent. Jeff blushed and took some of the load out of Nick's arms.
Nick had planned a movie date just for them. Nick loved movies, Jeff loved movies. This date was a match made in heaven. Jeff settled down on the couch as Nick started the movie. The boys were watching "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", as the boys (who wouldn't admit it), were huge Harry Potter fans. Jeff snuggled into Nick's side and munched on his taco as the movie played in the background.
Nick wasn't watching the movie, though. He had felt Jeff snuggle into his side an hour ago, but the steady rise and fall of the blonde's chest and the quiet snores coming from his gorgeous lips had told Nick that Jeff had fallen asleep. Nick had now taken to watching Jeff sleep (not like a creeper, he swears!).
Hours later, Jeff's parents came home, expecting to see Jeff in bed, and Nick- well, they weren't excepting to see Nick at all!. Neither expected the two boys to be snuggled on the couch, fast asleep. The adult Sterlings chuckled, and retired to their bedroom for the night.
