Short little drabble-ish thing. Parallels with ep 1.13, you should recognise the scene. Sorry for spelling and grammatical errors.

A sound outside the bedroom door made everyone turn and draw their swords, but it was only Edward, rushing in to see his daughter.

"Marian!" He said, shocked, bending down to look at his daughter.

"I'm fine, father."

Satisfied but still shaken, the ageing man turned to the woman who'd brought his daughter back to life. "Will she be alright?" He asked, his voice breaking.

The woman nodded. "Just let her sleep."

As everyone else began to leave Marian's bedside, Robin stayed there, his gaze fixed on her.

"Robin, this was my fault." Her father said, looking up from his daughter.

"No, it was the Sheriff and Gisbourne's."

"When the King returns, the Sheriff will make his move, you know that. He will try to kill the King. Help me stop him. My daughter's wedding takes place in Locksley on Saturday, at the same time the Sheriff will meet the King in Nottingham. Maybe he is thinking that I and others will attend the wedding, and leave him free to assassinate the King. But we must forget the wedding. We must be in Nottingham."

"We?" Robin repeated, shifting his gaze to Marian's father. "I don't think so."

How could a father leave his daughter to marry a man who she doesn't love, to save a King who he doesn't know? How could he leave Marian to marry Gisbourne, the man who'd taken his home and his village while Robin was away in the war? Why had she even agreed to marry Gisbourne in the first place?

Angry tears prickled in Robin's eyes, but he didn't let them fall. He wasn't going to leave Marian to her fate. He was going to fight for her.
